James O'Keefe, accused of trying to tamper with the phones of Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu, was "framed" by the media and the U.S. attorney's office, Andrew Breitbart, publisher of BigGovernment.com, told Fox News Monday.
The same day the man who first published James O'Keefe's explosive videos exposing wrongdoing at community organizer ACORN came to his defense Monday, claiming the conservative filmmaker "sat in jail for 28 hours without access to an attorney" while the prosecutor made his case to the media, the U.S. attorney involved stepped down.

The list, ping
I smell official misconduct, like that of the prosecutor who went after the Duke Lacrosse team.
Official misconduct by whom?
O’Keefe update.
By the US Attorney who just recused himself, but without stating any reasons therefor.
Is this the same guy who exposed ACORN by posing as a pimp along with the young woman who posed as a prostitute a few months ago?
Wouldn't be interesting if he has a hand in taking down Eric Holder. :)
Jim Letten is the Republican US Attorney who has recused himself from the case and has been replaced by Jan Mann who is pictured in Post 4.
And if you know of any wrongdoings in Letten's office, you should pass it on to federal authorities as Letten has put many Louisiana politicians in prison.

I sure hope so.
Yeah. The kid got a little too aggressive. I think that the publicity will work for him in the end.
I have a feeling that both of these people, Letten and Mann, are honest prosecutors.
This could get interesting.
Jim Letten is a very good prosecutor who has sent several Democratic and Republican politicians to prison. He even runs commercials on New Orleans radio essentially saying, “If you know of any corruption by government officials, big or small, big me a call.”
I know nothing about Jan Mann, except that I would not want her prosecuting me for a jaywalking rap.
I’m not a lawyer (thank God).
Can this stunt, and the resulting case, lead to depositions from staffers who must swear under oath that the phones WERE/WEREN’T rerouted to dodge constituent phone calls?
Yeah, I am sure all that publicity will work just great for O'Keefe with that Orleans Parish jury that he will be facing.
With the national spotlight on that jury, things will get very interesting.
She apparently comes from a good family. Her father, Joe Maselli, was somewhat of an icon in New Orleans. He passed away last October. She has been in Letten's office for awhile and had a hand in sending those crooked politicians to jail.
oops i didn’t see this original posting of the article and ended up reposting it a few minutes later.
