Huckabee - Sorry: too much slick hair and snake oil for my taste.

Romney - Oh, sure I'd like to see him run... and not stop until he's far, far, far away.

Palin - The best-looking, most conservative and best-sounding of the bunch to date (and I wouldn't mind a date, either). I hope she is reading history these days. A lot of history.

Pawlenty - A lightweight in a blue state. No thanks.

Gingrich - I'd really love to be in his history class, but as a politician, he's got more baggage than Southwest Airlines.

Barbour - Too old, and far too connected to rich Washington lobbyists and the bureaucratic establishment.

Definitely NOT:
Gingrich
Huckabee
Romney
Pawlenty
(in order of WORST to least nauseating choices)

Barbour might be good, but I’m not sure he could energize and carry a national campaign. He could probably deliver to votes from Mississippi to Georgia handily, but could he run a strong nationwide campaign? I don’t know.

Oh yeah, because Debbie Schlussel gets along so well with Sarah Palin. :-) What was that she said about McCain today? “That, I can understand, since he’s the moron who idiotically catapulted the empty skirtsuit to fame in the first place.”
