Palin's got Ohio on her mind

Sarah Palin’s political action committee has been selective and strategic in its donations to candidates over the past six months, but if money is any indication of where her heart lies, her political loyalties can be traced to Ohio.

While SarahPAC has devoted just 5 percent of its total expenditures over that period to fellow GOP colleagues, four of the 17 candidates Palin contributed to hail from Ohio — the state where she held by far the most presidential campaign events in 2008, according to The Washington Post’s candidate tracker.

The former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential nominee gave $5,000 to former GOP Rep. John Kasich, who’s running for Ohio governor; $3,500 to former Rep. Rob Portman, who’s running for the state’s open Senate seat; $1,000 to Rep. Jean Schmidt; and $1,000 to state auditor Mary Taylor, whom Kasich recently tapped to be his running mate.

A GOP source familiar with Palin’s thinking said most of these candidates solicited Palin’s support. “She feels there is a real chance to turn the tide in Ohio,” said the source.

If she’s looking for enthusiasm and large crowds she need to come to Butler and Warren counties. The largest Tea Party crowds in the state are here.
Hold a rally with the Tea Party at Voice of America in West Chester and see how many show up.
If she didn’t draw 50,000 I would be shocked. Bush drew that the last time he was here and she’s more popular. Put her together with Kasich, Portman and Chabot and you might get 100,000.

I love all the bickering here. To be honest though, after having McPain jammed down our throat a clown off the street could win Ohio. All my relatives that are tried and true Dems and Union members are sick of the government in general and ready to vote anyone with a brain and a pulse in. We need new blood in office and all I see are the same old names floated around. Romney, Huckabee give me a break. They had their chance and blew it. Time to vote in Joe the Plumber.

I’m sure. I think she better be ready for a fight in Ohio. I’m not convinced that she can win here. That won’t sit well with her fans of course but, realistically, I don’t see the map changing that much for her, not to the tune of another 260,000+ votes at least. She may want to consider a strategy that doesn’t require an Ohio win. The good news is we lost 2 electoral votes so it won’t be as big of a hit. That plus the five extra EVs from Florida and Texas will help.

well you again eh
i believe i did answer all your repeated questions there parrot man - honestly i expect the next phrase you post to be “Polly want a cracker or something”
I reiterate one more time and maybe just maybe it will sink in: I AM NOT PROMOTING ANY CANDIDATE AT THIS POINT MERELY CALLING THEM AS I SEE THEM
Lets call them the Big Three shall we - Palin, Romney and Huckabee as far as i know all three may or may not want to run (at this point i would say they do but unlike you Professor X i cannot read minds).
i point out weaknesses or strengths related to articles or posts
live with this as an honest answer or go back to fantasy land where you apparently live and think you hold all the answers to the universe
once again you tend to ignore my statement which means apparently that you have no answer but just in case
Have i posted anything that is not true? by your lack of answering that statement and refusing to refute anything i have said in detail than this means you agree with me.
so thank you parrot man and try to have a good day

You really don’t understand, all I did was out you as a phony type poster, You promote Romney and attack Palin and you do both of them behind a veil of fake motivations.

What we call a concern troll. Support who you want, just do it in the open. You don’t like Palin, so just say that, don’t play like you do except for.........etc.

LOL, I don't know what to say, OK you don't promote but you "see them and call them" like a "concern troll" as you "call it as you see it" for Palin and "call it as you see it" for Mitt Romney, all while concealing behind a veil of "concern troll" type hemming and hawing.

From my vantage point, Tom Moe had a rough time trying to coordinate anything Ohio with the National McCain 2008 campaign buffoons. Not surprisingly, today, the same buffoons who screwed-up the McCain 2008 campaign eagery bash Palin. And frankly, given the baffoons that McCain selected to coordinate his National campaign; I consider it a peek into just how awful a McCain Presidency, combined with a ‘Rat Congress, could have been.

When timeliness mattered during the campaign, the baffoons wouldn’t call back. Time after time, the baffoons failed to deliver what they promised. For example, the Ohio Sportsmen for McCain kickoff in Lawrence County, McCain 2008 cancelled it without telling anyone in Ohio. Despite issuing a press release requesting coverage. Dick Stobbs, our GOP candidate for Congress, was left to pick up the pieces with a hostile local news media, expecting live feed to their National affiliates.

So for southern Ohio, McCain signs gathered dust in the local campaign offices. Team 0bama was so convinced southern Ohio was all locked up, they didn’t bother to open campaign offices.

Then in a blind squirrel finding a nut moment; McCain selected Governor Palin as a running mate. It was Palin who did well for McCain south of I-70, she drew the huge crowds.

And Governor Palin energized the base. After Palin, we ran out of campaign signs. And because of Palin, the 0bamabots were even forced to open an Ironton campaign office.

Then reverting to true form, McCain voted for TARP. Had McCain opposed the bailout, he could have won south of I-70 Ohio. After TARP, “McCain - Palin” signs were now seen with duct tape across McCain’s name; and many others came down.

The difference of course is that I am not making anything up, your posting history is permanent and very clear, you can pretend, try to change the subject, and even lie all you want but you cannot escape that. (and people know what a "concern troll" is, although you seem not to.)

To: DM1; euram
I honestly think she is damaged goods between the media bashing her, stepping down as Governor and other missteps since she left office. Too bad because i do like her i just cannot see her winning the general election

Wow, you are a classic "concern troll" you have never posted anything in favor of Palin, I did not see a single pro Palin post in your entire history, but there was a lot of the "concern troll" postings about her, just exactly like that one.

On the other hand you seem to be a Romneybot, playing the reverse part of "concern troll" by always just slightly bumping him in spite of his 'imperfections'.
You were against Palin before she was even chosen (June 2008) and you never changed, the "concern troll" style is shallow.
