Can't have anyone else offer conflicting testimony as to who the real Messiah is, and how he should be followed.
Well, this just continues the Administration’s batting streak: they remain all-for-all in picking the wrong side of an argument and irreparably dedicating themselves to promiting it.
If I may be so bold, Mr. Knox, this is probably not the best way to introduce yourself.
Having faith in a faux messiah is like going through life on false hope and spare change. Where did Obama go to get this cast of kooks he call’s an administration? The looney bin?
I’m not RC but after reading this the Pope went way up in my estimation.
This has to be the first US administration ever to attack the Pope.
That the Catholic Church is the cause of all that’s wrong in the world is a commonly held belief. Open admission from a public official I find suprising.
Knox worships at the feet of Obama. The Pope is certainly not afraid to follow Jesus, to be a real Christian on fire with what the Church teaches. The Pope is not here to win friends and influence people with worldly morals, he is here to do God’s Will and that bugs Harry Knox.
: Uganda has experienced the greatest decline in HIV of any country in the world. Ten years ago, 1991-2000, HIV infection rates in Uganda declined from about 15 percent to 5 percent. Among pregnant women in the capita, Kampala, HIV prevalence dropped from about 30 percent to 10 percent. Similar declines have continued until the present. How did Uganda do it?
The crucial factor was a national campaign against sexual behaviors that spread disease. Beginning in the mid-1980s, the Ugandan government, working with church and community organizations, delivered an ABC prevention message: (A) Abstain from sex until marriage, (B) Be faithful to your spouse, or (C) use Condoms if abstinence and fidelity are not practiced.
The link between Uganda's "ABC" approach and the dramatic reduction in the country's HIV/AIDS rate is clear. Uganda did it. All Africa could do it. The United States --- if we had the intelligence --- could do it as well.
No one ever died because of the Pope saying "practice the moral virtues."

Anti-Catholic bigotry is everywhere these days.
Tell you what, Knox - why don’t we have your messiah fight our messiah and see who wins. Game?

Okay, so 0bama has a hand picked pervert running the "Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships" (yet another unconstitutional piece of garbage) and he attacks the Pope. If 0bamination doesn't say anything (what to speak of kick him off the position) we know that 0bamination shares those views. Of course, we know that right now anyway. I'm so sick of this vileness that if I had high BP it would be in the stratosphere.
Obama won 53% of the US Roman Catholic vote in 2008. I guess he's hoping he'll be able to find those votes elsewhere in 2012.
Just........ wow........
Can there be any Catholics left who will vote Dem any more?
The Pope is not hurting people. These people are hurting themselves by having rampant premarital sex with the danger of AIDS. If they (and the rest of the world) followed what the Pope teaches regarding sex, AIDS would begin to dwindle and disappear.
Any word from Knox on how Islam benefits homosexuals?
Harry Knox’s religion is HOMOSEXUALITY!

HARRY KNOX (Human Rights Campaign): Gay people deserve the same right to marry that everybody else does. And God cares about our relationships the same way God cares about heterosexual relationships. We’re making the same commitments to each other. We have the same responsibilities to each other, and we deserve the same rights and responsibilities under the law that everyone else has.

The Popes statement that condoms dont help control the spread of HIV, but rather condoms increase infection rates, is hurting people in the name of Jesus. On a continent where millions of people are infected with HIV, it is morally reprehensible to spread such blatant falsehoods. The popes rejection of scientifically proven prevention methods is forcing Catholics in Africa to choose between their faith and the health of their entire community. Jesus was about helping the marginalized and downtrodden, not harming them further.

Knox, in an Apr. 6, 2007 statement on the HRCs Web site, wrote: In this holy Lenten season, it is immoral and insulting to Jesus to use the body and blood of Christ the reconciler as a weapon to silence free speech and demean the love of a committed, legally married couple. The Human Rights Campaign grieves with the couple, Leah Vader and Lynn Huskinson, over this act of spiritual and emotional violence perpetrated against them.

In reaction to the Vaticans refusal to sign a U.N. agreement that called for decriminalizing homosexuality and equating all sexual orientations, Knox and the HRC signed a statement with other pro-homosexual groups that read, in part: As faith leaders we were shocked by Vatican opposition to this proposed initiative .By refusing to sign a basic statement opposing inhumane treatment of LGPT people, the Vatican is sending a message that violence and human rights abuses against LGBT people are acceptable. Many are speaking out against this immoral stance in the name of religion.

In March 2009, the HRC launched a new, interactive Web site called EndtheLies.org designed to confront right-wing lies and distortions repeatedly used to defeat LGBT equality measures. The wall features an image of Pope Benedict XVI and this statement: Pope Benedict XVI has called same-sex relationships a destruction of Gods work, opposed a U.N. resolution decriminalizing homosexuality, and claimed in March 2009 that the use of condoms increases HIV infections.

Mar. 19, 2009: The Bay Area Reporter in San Francisco quoted Knox as following, The Knights of Columbus do a great deal of good in the name of Jesus Christ, but in this particular case [Proposition 8], they were foot soldiers of a discredited army of oppression.
Knox noted that the Knights of Columbus followed discredited leaders, including bishops and Pope Benedict XVI. A pope who literally today said condoms dont help in control of AIDS.
