Ed Lynch isnt just a Republican candidate with the only upcoming special election in the nation. Ed Lynch is as a man whose personal example embodies the very best of the Republican Party.
Lynch is no ordinary candidate. After all, what candidate, two weeks before a primary vote, decides to leave his district in favor of leading a rescue mission in Haiti? But that episode, more than any other, demonstrates what Ed Lynch is all about.
His choice to save lives rather than campaign is emblematic of Lynchs life history. As a general contractor, Lynch won a construction bid to work on a veterans hospital. Lynch decried the deplorable conditions that veterans were subjected to. He knew full well that his vociferous protests would likely get his contract canceled. He also knew that almost any other contractor would have continued on with his work and minded his own business. Lynch chose to do what was right over that which is expedient.

Here’s the GOP candidate running for Robert Wexler’s open seat special in FL (Dist 19). http://www.electlynch.com/
If FL has a ping list, you may wish to let them know about this thread, thanks.
That’s a glowing review. His views on economics and national defense look good on the face of it.
But I don’t see even a single mention on his website of defending the unalienable rights of all under our Constitution, specifically the right to life.
Thank you! I’m a friend of Ed Lynch’s on Facebook. He was a pretty good network set up on FB.
idiot. was = has
He’s staunchly pro-life. He just doesn’t talk about it much in Wexler’s district. He’s also a solid constitutionalist. It’s a litmus test and a deal breaker for Gen. Vallely (Lynch and myself are the first two candidates he’s endorsed in South Florida - as far as I know). If he weren’t pro-life, the review would have been less glowing (if at all). That said, I’d take a Scott Brown Republican any day in Wexler’s district. Also glad to see Wexler going, period.
Thanks for pinging this, Field Marshal!
Sure thing.
I slept on this special.
Was Lynch the better GOP choice than the other guy?
Yes. He took the fight to Wexler when no one would. Then he ran again (the only candidate with the support of DC Works for Us - main activist/912 type group in Broward) and the only one with any regular grassroots support.
One candidate, the one who finished a distant third, hired a consultant who went extremely negative. The other one went along with it and both lost any chance of support from the clubs. The “Politico” said he was seen as the more moderate of the three candidates, which is outright nonsense, but it can’t hurt him in a +20 Dem district so no one’s making a huge deal about it (except it can hurt him among activists who don’t know him). All major conservative endorsers supported him and he was the only one with a credible campaign and positive message. At the end of the primary, I told a few people “aside from everything Ed’s done, his opponents seem to be giving us a choice between Ed Lynch and “lynching Ed.” It wasn’t all that much of an exaggeration.
Red Eye bump.
Reset2010.org is a new constitutionalist’s networking site that can link you to Edward Lynch’s donation page and those of other constitutional candidates...his race is 4/13, the first at the congressional level...Reset2010 lays out deadlines for voter registration and other filing to run, etc...we have sent a donation of $9.12 to JDHayworth today, and we will do so for Edward Lynch, as well. Because of Palin campaigning today with McCain in Arizona, we chose to make a statement with our donation in support of Hayworth, who is now within 7 points of McCain’s lead. Yesterday McCain made the statement that the Tea Party isn’t supporting anyone yet...guess again! This is how “the anointed one” won...by many, many SMALL donations garnered over the internet...as he stated yesterday: Go for it!
