This show is begging to be canceled if true.

Where are the qualified people in the music industry here? Doogie Howser was a guest last week, Ellen is a comedian, Howard Stern is a FORMER DJ/current Talk Show host. How about bringing in Steve Perry/Pat Benatar and let’s get back to judging MUSIC/VOICE!

I gave up on Idol a few years back, but when Ellen was a guest judge on So You Think You Can Dance, she was utterly clueless as to what to say. She just kept repeating one or two stupid jokes. I can’t imagine she’d be any better on IDOL. And Stern? Is this a joke? He’s not funny or entertaining in any kind of family-ish way whatsoever, just cruel and really, really, sleazy.

This is from Howard's last show (Thursday) on his website:

Howard asked how long it took for Sarah to sleep with someone new after breaking up with Jimmy.

Oh, and he had another girl do a Sybian ride for him.

So, is this what the female contestants will have to do to make the finals?

And is there any evidence Howard has any notion about evaluating singing talent???

It started out as good clean fun entertainment for the family.

It seems the networks always ruin a good thing. Can’t seem to keep depravity from taking over their decisions.

"At least Ellen is nice."

While I don't agree or understand Ellen's lifestyle choices, she's not a "blue" comedian. She works clean - no foul language, no sexual innuendo and no "attack" comedy, which of course are all trademarks of Howard Stern.

This can’t happen unless they want to lose half their audience.

Simon isn’t “nasty” in his comments. He’s simply brutally honest.

Howard Stern would simply be nasty. And probably pretty musically illiterate.

I agree, as I saw Ellen on DWTS. Awful. Just awful.

There goes the neighborhood.

What are they thinking? First Degenerate. Now Stern?

AI has always been a show for the whole family. Definitely NOT with Stern.

I don’t don’t know why they choose Ellen.
Her sitcom was a flop, her talk show a flop, she’s not funny, she has no professional music background.

Stern - He’s a little immature pervert. done well as business man but still a perv.

As a huge Journey fan I suspect that Steve’s style would be a lot less like Simon and more like Paula. He has the quintessential nice-guy persona from what I’ve seen.
