Palin stumps for 'good friend' Perry in Cypress

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin stumped for Gov. Rick Perry at a rally Sunday in suburban Houston, adding some national Republican star power to Perry's re-election campaign.

“I doubt there is another public figure in our country who gives liberals a bigger case of the hives than our special guest today,” Perry said. “At the very mention of her name, the liberals, the progressives, the media elites, they literally foam at the mouth.”

Palin appeared with Perry a day after the Republicans' most recent vice-presidential nominee addressed the first national convention of the anti-establishment “tea party” coalition in Nashville, Tenn.

Perry is firmly establishment in Texas but has campaigned as anti-Washington in his March 2 GOP primary race against U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison. He is seeking a third four-year term that would add to his tenure as the longest-serving governor in Texas history.

Do you have a source for that? If so, I and everyone I know who plans to vote for her will cast our vote for Perry instead. GIVE ME A SOURCE PLEASE.

It was sarcasm.

Yeah, I know. Puts her on par with vaccine Ricky. But at least she won’t be cluttering up the GOP 2012 presidential nomination race if she wins.

Kay Bailey’s ads speak of “cronyism.” But Kay has her own set of cronies, and guess Perry makes them feel left out. We don’t know much about Medina. As you say. Perry is the devil we know. White is just another pol looking to move up.

I’m sure by now everyone has heard of the Muslim candidate running in the Dem Primary named Farouk Shamir. He is spending $10 million of his own money to win the Governor’s seat in Austin.

Didnt Palin said to challenge incumbents?? She is a disaster. *watches palinistas heads explode*

You post that "Sarah Palin is a disaster" and think it's amusing to watch "palinistas" heads explode.

Good luck with that. All you've shown is your contempt for Sarah Palin, who is the one person with the ability to lead our nation and she singularly commands the largest crowds where ever she goes!

I’m not for KBH but I do support her vote against Sotomayor. Someone who is willing to bring out the race card on that issue is not a winner.

...you blindly follow her every word...

"Blindly"?

No, I've watched and listened to Gov. Palin since she first hit the national stage, and have agreed wholeheartedly with everything she's said and done, thus far. She stands for everything that I stand for, and has an exemplary track record of deeds to back it up.

Sorry if I don't hate her, as you obviously do.

Is there a political figure you like better than Sarah Palin? Obama, perhaps?

You know, you really are out of step with what most conservative think about Sarah Palin.

I put that comment because if anyone even utters a negative comment about Palin or disagrees with her, people will call you a troll or will say that you fear her when in reality whe should not be trusting anyone inside the beltway. I have no loyalty nor do not admire sheepishly any politician to be honest I dont trust her at all. I also think for myself, the people who defend Palin from being attacked are as bad as the ones that defend Obama.

Wasn’t Perry cool on Palin during a Con event about a year ago?

You have to remember that Palin was subjected to so many totally vicious and disgusting attacks that a lot of her supporters are just sick and tired of every little dig. You can’t just throw in a gotcha about supporting incumbents and then supporting Perry. Who cares?

I’m more concerned about the fact that Palin expressed support for a road to citizenship...

My problem with her is that she is is very vague on immigration, gay issues, international ..etc she flip flops on the issues like Mccain.

Is there a political figure you like better than Sarah Palin? Obama, perhaps?

I have no idea what makes you think I am a follower of obama. I have NEVER supported him, just becasue I disagree with her that automatically makes me a liberal?

Whew. First of all, she is not from "inside the beltway." She's never held elected office outside Alaska.

Secondly, I can see that you not only do not trust her at all, but also that you hold her in contempt; that you think she is trying to co-opt the Tea Party for her own gain.

I think you're both misinformed and uninformed.

Bingo I have that exact problem with Palin. I have no idea if she was tough on illegal immigrants while she was Governor of Alaska? Has she even mentioned the problem of illegal immigration? But I cant ever comment on that because I will be attacked by followers of Palin.

I get the feeling that Goodhair will be Palin’s running mate should she get the nomination.

I hope not...

I'm for Perry in the Texas primary because he is the least onerous of the three IMO and he has done some good things.

But I do not want to see him elevate to Washington.

...as for Perry he was not ashamed to be associated with the tea party movement from the start.

Folks can say what they will about Rick Perry, but you've got to give the man his due. At a time when most politicians (D and R) were all either ignoring or laughing at the Tea Party, he was on stage with the folks, giving the movement encouragement.

Some might say that that was simple political opportunism, but I disagree. The "smart money" at the time was steering far away from the Tea Party. Perry took a huge political risk to associate himself early on with the movement.

Perry's something of an enigma to me. He's got that smarmy sort of politico aura about him, but what he says (and mostly does) comports with what I need and want in a governor.

For one thing, you can't argue that under his stewardship, Texas has out-performed nearly every other state in the union, on the economic front. What that says to me, is that he's simply managed to stay out of the way of the wealth builders in the state, and has not done things that would interfere with the Texas economic machine.

Palin isn’t playing small ball.

You've got that right. I knew that, from the first moment I saw her. So did the libs, which is why they'll do anything to sabotage her path to the White House.
