Ben (Kickback) Nelson will back GOP filibuster
Politico ^ | 2/8/2010 | MANU RAJU

announced Monday evening that he will support a Republican-led filibuster over President Barack Obama's nominee to serve on the National Labor Relations Board.

The move is likely to infuriate labor groups who have fought hard for Craig Becker's nomination to serve on the five-member NLRB - and will likely give Republicans enough support to sustain a filibuster Tuesday.

“Mr. Becker’s previous statements strongly indicate that he would take an aggressive personal agenda to the NLRB, and that he would pursue a personal agenda there, rather than that of the administration,” Nelson said in a statement. “This is of great concern, considering that the board’s main responsibility is to resolve labor disputes with an even and impartial hand."

Now this is the kind of bi-partisan effort I can get behind. Usually I run away from them.

Ben Nelson is also opposing Dawn Johnsen, Obama’s radical pick for a post in the Justice Department.

Nothing he does now will salvage his reelection in 2012.

Too late, Ben. You’re gonna be sent home next election.

Maybe if you had thought about the future of America instead of seeing dollar signs, the story might’ve turned out different. Instead, you’re just another Democrat poodle for Hussein.

I just hope Nelson realizes that he screwed the pooch when he took the bribe money and now his best option is to go out backing the conservative platform. Might help him in his next endeavor, e.g.”do you want fries with that sir”?

Let’s enjoy watching the Democrat fecal material as it is vaporized by the blades of an awakened electorate. The blowback may well cause the Poseur to melt down publicly.

Yeah, but it doesn’t hurt if he tries to salvage it and in the process votes this way, does it?

I hope the GOP begins a round of “come-to-Jesus” meetings with the democrats and their own people. Things never should have gotten so out of hand.

“Is it ok if I sit here?”

” New guy.”

“Whatever...”

Everyone leaves the cafeteria table. Alone, he sits.

It should pull at my heartstrings.

I’m strangely unaffected.

He has been backpeddling and dissenbling for weeks - almost a daily joke.

My view: when the chips were down and everything mattered, he betrayed his constituents and his nation.

As far as I am concerned, I don’t give a damn about how he votes on anything.

He does this crap ALL the time! He is an embarrassment to my state!

I'm gonna do all I can to boot his a$$ out in 2012!

Yepper, but file this under to little to late. The litmus test for Nebraskans on Bens pledge to be a voice for Nebraska and not the democartic party was healthcare, and he took a kickback to boot.

He has been seen for what he is and this is a sad pathetic pander for him.
