Paterson to Announce Campaign for Governor

Amid churning doubts over his political future, New York Gov. David Paterson has told one of his closest advisers that he will officially announce his campaign for governor next week.
William Lynch, a Harlem lobbyist and political aide, said Mr. Paterson will give a "major statement on why he's running" and will travel around the state to make clear his intentions. "He's running," Mr. Lynch said.

On Sunday, the NY Slimes was saying that they were breaking a “big” story and people were predicting his resignation because of some scandal. What happened to that? Did I miss the “big” story?

This will be a wonderful example of the politics of personal violence and destruction. We all have to comply with the directive given to us last year by the Legislature of having committees do an analysis of workplace violence and put policies and procedures into place to prevent it. However, what you will see in the coming days are actions to destroy a man’s career so that the State of New York can appoint a henchman of BHO (Andrew Cuomo) as Governor to give him the force of the incumbency and to preserve the progressive movement's army in this godforsaken state. Right. Getting more Jiffy Pop.

So what was all the hoopla last weekend about his ABSOLUTE resignation because of a big announcement on Monday Morning? I believe that was the NYT reporting that?
