Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.), who said in his speech, "People who could not spell the word vote or say it in English put a committed socialist ideologue in the White House -- name is Barack Hussein Obama."

Tancredo added, "Thank God John McCain lost the election."

Leaving aside McCain's statements, I'm not sure I understand what Tancredo is talking about here - is he saying that illegal aliens are responsible for voting Obama into office or that the average Obama voter is uneducated? As much as I oppose Obama, I don't believe either is true - and I don't see how such statements help the GOP.
