TIFTON, GA (WALB) –An unusual case of animal cruelty in Tift County. Someone shot a cat with an arrow. The family thinks someone in their neighborhood is responsible. They hope whoever did it will admit it.

Meet Tom, the five year old family cat with a whole lot of personality, and a whole lot of strength.

"He's got the exit wound and entry wound where that arrow was lodged in him," said Dr. Branch.

For being able to survive a cruel and unnecessary act, that could have taken his life.

Cruelty to pets should be equivalent in punishment to cruelty to people. Killing a pet should have the same punishment as killing a human. Those who are cruel to pets will certainly be cruel to humans.

I am very happy that this cat survived this crime.

They should pay close attention to their immediate neighbors. Cats normally do not travel far. This has been proven my numerous tracking and cat cam devices.

3% of any population are psychopaths. They need to get this one into the system now.

I learned to go smaller after taking out some wild dogs with a .45-70. That was a mess.

Shucking shells out of a .45-70 as fast as you can aint real good on the shoulder.

“Those who are cruel to pets will certainly be cruel to humans.”

No.

at least 50% of the folks on this thread can understand the difference between humans and animals. It’s okay if you can’t.

Your posts indicate that you like to be cruel to cats and hence you can be cruel to humans.

Cruelty to pets should be equivalent in punishment to cruelty to people. Killing a pet should have the same punishment as killing a human.

I think it's been taken a bit way overboard. Although God gave us humans dominance over all other species,we still do have respect for others.

Genesis 9:2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.

3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.

6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

Proverbs 12:10 A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

Perhaps one day, the animals will treat you with as much respect as you treat them?

Be careful of walks in the woods, karma’s a beotch ....

excuse me?

I’ll be clear.

I have friends that will find an ant, beetle or spider in their house and will not harm it, but put it outside.

And, I also have friends that will shoot strays and wild animals that cause problems for them on their land.

I am somewhere in the middle. Now just try to prove where I have been cruel to animals. Can’t do it can you?

Had enough yet?

Instead of using weapons on defenseless animals, call animal control or SPCA. They will come and get the animal and find a home for it. They will also take the kittens.

I honestly can't believe you didn't think there was a better way to remove the animal from your property.

I am surrounded by wild animals because I live in the woods. You think the wild animals don't damage or leave fecal matter in our yard? We have rescued deer, possum, raccoons, birds, etc., and have yet to kill or injure a wild or tame animal.

You open a shed door and have a cat jump in your face and claw your eyes out, and I’ll give you a stick you can tap on the ground to find your way around.

"That said, I believe that anyone who picks up a BB gun, crossbow, .22 pistol, shotgun, or anything else and intends to kill a housecat or a stray dog just for walking across their property has voluntarily joined the ranks of the white F'in trash. Thank heavens that I haven't got any provincial retards like that living anywhere near me.

Thank you for a stronger version of what I wrote.

Gotcha. In that case I guess the correct thing would be to humanely put down the animal. I have no problem as long as you a one shot, one kill kind of guy.

You claim to be a farmer.

But you don’t talk like any farmer I’ve known. ‘Cuz they all had a healthy respect for the animals around them.

I don’t see any of that in any of your comments. Your many comments.
