Great, this’ll be just like Dodd. With a less damaged Dem, our chances of winning this seat just went to zilch. The point is to DEFEAT damaged Dems in the general.

This seat will still be competitive. Win or lose, we are rid of Kennedy. And that is most welcome news; and an embarassment for Pelosi.

Dodd’s departure has increased the likelihood of the RATS holding that seat, but it is not a slam dunk. We may have a tsunami in the works.

Doubtful. Between Buddy Cianci and John Loughlin, this should be a GOP pickup, regardless of the Rat candidate.

I think otherwise. As long as there is Hussien and the Congress being controlled by Reid and Pelosi, I think that no democrat will be safe in November. Those three are becoming radioactive poison to the American people. Scott Brown and the governor’s races in VA and NJ are testimony to that.

Well with Dodd a hideously popular rat is running in his place.

The RI rats may not be so lucky. I don’t see why an open seat in a good year with a generic rat wouldn’t be competitive.

The thing I worry about is Buddy C taking enough GOP votes to squirrel our chances. But that was just as true with Patches still in the race.

For the first time since 1946 there will not be a Kennedy in Congress or the White House. It would have been nice if happened by defeat in a GE rather than retirement. Was KKT the only one (not counting the 1960 theft or failed VP nomination of Sargent Shriver) to lose an election to the GOP?
