For me, I'm sick and tired of Democrats having power and being unwilling to use it. I've always respected Republicans when they had power because they were willing to use it and maybe apologize later.
He has watched Republicans block many of his appointments, and now he says he made it clear to them that he will "consider" making some when the U.S. Senate goes into recess.

Roland S. Martin is not a very astute analyst. Thus, his employment at CNN.

The thought did cross my mind. Same difference except Laugh In was more honest.

Just like with Bush, I am amazed at the power of Republicans, what with their small numbers in the House and Senate. Despite these obvious handicaps, they are capable of stopping 0 in his tracks. Obviously Roland doesn’t count the Tea Parties, i.e. the American people, in his rant.

This president got rolled by the Senate over health care. His team made some boneheaded mistakes, and now they are paying for them. Continuing to play footsie with opponents will only get him into more trouble. He should set a deadline to have his folks confirmed. If not, appoint them all during the recess and go on about your business. Obama's critics keep blasting him for Chicago-style politics. So, fine. Channel your inner Al Capone and go gangsta against your foes. Let 'em know that if they aren't with you, they are against you, and will pay the price.

I must have lived in an alternate univers from 2000-2006. I don't seem to remember much of anything we wanted getting through.
Bur he is right, it is rather pathetic that they had huge majorities in both chambers and still couldn't get squat done without a pubbie defection or two.
Next step, rule by executive fiat.
After that, see the tag line.

Continuing to play footsie with opponents will only get him into more trouble. Hey RM, Obie's OWN PARTY slammed the door on healthcare.
