Long time lurker, had no idea that this was going on... are these types of influences that already infiltrate the MSM working their way into other media outlets as well???

Fox has been in bed with arab money for a long time. Every once in a while they use their influence but mostly are happy to let the money role in.

News Corp is already owned by a foreigner - has that affected the American interests shown in its programming?

Do you fear that a Saudi billionaire might use News Corps’ resources to affect American public opinion? Or report news in a way that might advance Saudi interests?

I think the only way to keep any company honest is through free-market competition. Somehow we need to come up with a TV/cable news company that we can trust so Fox has some competition.

The media is definitely controlled by forces most people don’t see and don’t want to see. See http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/13373

How to help stop it? Buy stock. Be the owner.

In short, have more money than the Saudi Prince does...highly unlikely for anyone here.

News Corp. is an Australian, and Australian-established company from inception, AFAIK.

For those who don’t know, News Corp. owns the Fox Network.

Feh. The Saudis are our friends. It’s not like their citizens fly planes into our buildings, or anything.

People need to cancel cable and sat TV but they won’t. Murdoch is gonna take billions from the Saudis.

The Saudis will make sure we are slaves because we cannot develop our own energy. The Saudis own DC, London, Brussels and other Euro cities etc. They fund environmentalists to insure we have no access to domestic energy sources.

You could buy up all the News Corp stock yourself.

Free enterprise is a strength, not a weakness.

Oh for heaven’s sake...they already own a good portion of it and it’s not been a problem. This is what a free market does, allows people to freely invest. As Murdoch is also a foreigner perhaps this works best since they seem less invested in leftist propaganda than news organiztions owned by....say, GE. Paranoid much?

Did you see the article of the Muslim riots in France?

http://www.wnd.com/index.php?pageId=33772

Saudi says he nixed Fox News ‘Muslim riots’ banner
Shareholding prince claims change made
after he called Rupert Murdoch

Obama also bailed out Citi which the prince was more than wealthy enough to bail the company out himself. And for some reason he really wants his buddy Pandit in charge there.

Saudi shareholder says supporting Citi’s CEO - Yahoo! News

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20100117/bs_nm/us_citigroup_alwaleed

He also blamed the United states for 9/11 because we support Israel.

A few days later, however, the prince released a statement that blamed the United States and its support for Israel for the devastating 9/11 attacks.

Not to mention the prince is buying up large hotels all across the US. Will they one day house muslims for Jihad?

And to think Saudi’s say we must pay them reparations when oil consumption goes way down. Obama is probably writing that legislation already.

The Prince owns 5%...hardly a majority stake.

Part of the deal is that FOX shows have increased visibility in the Middle East. This is a good thing.

“Power of numbers,” despite your intended meaning—which I understood/understand, here are on the side of the Saudi Prince.

Price Alwaleed Bin Talal has been rumored the financial source of Obama's Harvard education.

Check out the third paragraph on Daniel Pipes site. Good source on the Prince and his connections:

Exactly my point! Fox News is owned by a foreigner, and now will have a huge investment of Saudi money.

Does anyone here think that Fox News somehow pitches its coverage and opinion in order to advance the interests of its foreign owners? Why, it has “America’s most trusted” all over its flag-draped persona.

Is Fox News and its patriotism somehow not to be trusted?
