Yahoo: A Demonstrator dressed as a figure of the movie Avatar, shouts slogans against Israels separation barrier in the West Bank village of Bilin near Ramallah, Friday, Feb. 12, 2010. More here.
Associated Press: JERUSALEM (AP) Palestinian protesters have added a colorful twist to demonstrations against Israels separation barrier, painting themselves blue and posing as characters from the hit film Avatar. The demonstrators also donned long hair and loincloths Friday for the weekly protest against the barrier near the village of Bilin. They equated their struggle to the intergalactic one portrayed in the film.

If I remember correctly ... the Navi had semi-sexual encounters (called “bonding”) with animals. Haha.

If I was living in a society that had Yasser Arafat as a role model, I might turn to CGI for inspiration as well.

Are we sure he is Palestinian? Could it be he is one more deluded young American liberal off to promote the Left’s hatred of Israel?
Rachel Corrie meets Braveheart?
James Cameron's lovechild?
Or, could we say geeks can be found in any culture. While this guy was attempting the wire another Palestinian in an R2D2 costume had plans to the Israeli Death Star in his trash can disguise slipping through a checkpoint.

"Palestinian protester
s pose as Na'vi?"
I see only one made up (badly) like that. I bet he's not Palestinian, whatever "Palestinian" means to begin with, and the other "Palestinians" think he's nuts.

If the Women are dressed like the women in Avatar it could be a positive step in the right direction. I didn’t see any Na’vi in any Buquas....
