An interesting read of the survey results.

Esquire is a notoriously left-wing publication; it would be interesting to know who the survey participants were...

Esquire is certainly leftist and popular among homosexuals. However, I believe the survey is probably accurate. It seems most of the leaders only pay lip service to social conservative issues.

Damn right it is a lefty Obama-ass kissing mag. My neighbor subscribes to it. I borrow and read it only when there’s a good suit article but the editorials and story-flow are in your face ELITIST moonbattery.

Speaking of elitism, they should look at themselves in the mirror. GQ is worse.

So what’s the consensus?
Based on our survey, conducted over the course of six weeks last fall and administered with a guarantee of anonymity to all participants, three out of four leaders of the Republican Party consider Barack Obama to be a socialist. More than one in four consider him the worst president of all time. Sixty-seven percent would consider supporting a pro-choice candidate. Seventy-one percent think W. made the right call in Iraq. No one really likes taxes or the birthers. And a lot of people like Mitt Romney.

You got that right.

Asking people whether they are fiscal conservatives *OR* social conservatives?

Morons.

Their idea of GOP elite is probably different than ours obviously and the choices they were given...all skewed to make us look like like the weak people pleasers that we are trying to tea party out of!

75% You're a fiscal conservative: You believe, above all, that the primary emphasis of the party should be on lower taxes, free markets, and limited government regulation.

8% You're a social conservative: You believe, above all, in defending traditional values.

6% You're a national-security conservative: You believe the Republican party is, above all, the party of national defense.

This is the problem with the Republican leaders. Only 8% are social conservatives! Which is what I've been saying for years, Republicans and Conservatives are not the same thing!

So, there's a decision to be made. Either we vote for the Republican party, knowing that they ONLY stand for fiscal conservatism - or we split off from the Republicans, and form a Conservative party of our own (which will be based on fiscal conservatism AND social conservatism).

The Republican party elite (the politicans) are NOT interested in social conservatism AT ALL. That's why we're so frustrated with them, and these numbers show why.

If we can't accept the Republican party as it is (only fiscally conservative), then we will have to form a Conservative party - one based on the principles of social conservatism, fiscal conservatism, AND national security. You are not going to find that combination in our Republican leaders - and you never will.

How many more Scott Browns do we want to elect? How many more pro-choice Republicans?

Third party splitting the Republican vote = Democrats in power forever.

The third party movement is backed and encouraged by the statists.

Don't we already have statism? How different the U.S. would be if it were the Liberals vs the Conservatives. Instead, we have the Liberals (all the Democrats) vs the Republicans (non-Conservatives).

But, if having the Republicans in power (rather than the Conservatives) is good enough for you...

On the other hand, there may not be enough Conservatives with which to form a Conservative party. So, do we just 'bite the bullet' and vote Republican? If so, nothing will change. The non-conservative Republicans will keep doing what they're doing.

What part of Democrats in perpetuity don’t you understand? Let me explain it again: Third party = Democrats in power forever.

Here’s the game plan: we take back our party, vet the candidates based on their voting record — ignoring their campaign rhetoric — and take back the country.

I’m an old lady, and I won’t live to see our victory because it’s going to be a very long, slow haul. The commies took 100 years to get the control that they have now. I only hope that we can get it back a lot faster than that and restore our shining city on a hill.

You are upset with the election of Scott Brown? R-Mass???? The 41st vote that killed Craig Becker?

You need to think things through a bit more carefully.

3rd parties finish in 3rd place, that’s why they’re called 3rd parties.
