For most of my 53 years on earth I have been addicted to Mt. Dew, the caffeine infused drink from Pepsi with a slight hint of citrus. On an average day I could consume five 16oz bottles making me a very loyal PepsiCo customer to say the least.
But then Pepsi got in bed with the Obama worshippers and spent millions changing their well-known logo to one that paid homage to their new tin god. Then they lost me forever!
For over 14 months I have given up all Pepsi products and have not given one penny to PepsiCo. While my wife has switched my sugar intake to sweet tea, I now consume far less sugar & caffeine than I did last year.
Thank you Pepsi for worshipping Obama and setting me free from slavery to your addictive product. And BTW I do not eat at Taco Bell or KFC anymore either!
Pepsi is a perfect kind of product to identify with the Obama administration - fizzy when just poured, but flat after sitting in the glass awhile. And of no nutritional value whatsoever. Finally, it is easy to end the addiction - you just stop drinking and move on.
Five 16 oz bottles? Wow, better cut back on the caffine.
Coke is the drink for me. One bottle in the morning...one at night.
Little known fact, drinks like Mt Dew, Pepsi and Coke help cause Kidney stones. I had a couple of these devils and they aint fun. Drink lots of water between those Dews.
Dew has not been the same since they took the fruit bits out of it...and went to HFCS over sugar.
Anyone else remember when Dew had the little bits of actual fruit in it?
I drink the one named after the President - Coke Zero.
Oh, that's what it was! Thought it was sediment from dirty bottles...
Guess I was way ahead of my time. I quit drinking Pepsi when they signed Michael Jackson as a spokesgeek.
I thought that carbonation in drinks was bad for your bones anyway.
I’m actually drinking more water and various teas . . . LOVE Darjeeling . . . and, if I add a sweetener, as I do with Chai, I’m using a 1/2 packet of Truvia. When I go out, I drink unsweetened tea . . . after the first mouthful, I can drink it unsweetened.
I gave up the carbonated drinks to go on my Alternate Day Diet.
That worked for about 3 months now I am back on lots of pepsi and the snapple sits in the refrig....SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME...:O(
Oh, I meant to ask, does Pepsi really have that logo on their bottles? I've never seen it, but then I don't buy Pepsi.
Get off the stuff granny. It will kill you. Drink the Arizona Green Tea and it will break the habit. It comes either with honey or Splenda for sweetener.
Gee, I don’t see Obama’s logo on my Pepsi bottles. What are you talking about?
I think they’re making it up. O’s stupid logo is not on Pepsi bottles.
I’d have to try the one with honey, artifical sweetners leave an after taste with me...read an article about it once and there is a certain % of people that get that aftertaste, cannot do anything diet...but will try the one with honey......always open to suggestions thanks...
I never could use the aspartame sweeteners either. Just plain yuky. Then I tried Splenda and it does not leave that aftertaste. In my coffee, I like it better than sugar. The Arizona Green Tea with Honey and Ginsing is good. I buy it by the gallon jug. Drink it over ice. Right now I’m using the diet jug; trying to lose weight. The first time I tried the Green tea I didn’t like the taste, but I kept drinking it because I was on a diet. Before long I realized that it wa the only thing I wanted to drink.
I’ll give splenda a try, nothing to lose by trying it........:O)TY
I think you will see the difference. It is made from sugar and does not have that chemical taste. Try it in your coffee. I like it better than sugar because it is not sticky sweet.
