Then the story grew into "Terrorist attemp to blow up plane."

This old gal has been on law enforcement radar for a long time.

It’s not clear whether she’s a True Believer or just a nutcase.

The problem is that you can’t arrest someone for just being suspicious and creepy. I’m glad she finally did something they could arrest her for, and, hopefully, get her off the streets.

She had a fake gun in the car, which she was pointing at other motorists, which prompted the first calls to 911.

After a number of miles, she was stopped on Loop 820, and police found several pipe bombs in the car. They closed down the freeway and detonated them. I didn’t see the explosions myself, but I have friends who did, from miles away. No telling what she was planning to do.

I don’t know if they live in Arlington. Wadih el Hage did, and there are several mosques there.

Arlington police made the arrest because the incident started on Hwy. 360, which is in Arlington. The actual arrest and detonation of the pipe bombs was at Loop 820 and Rosedale, which I believe is inside Ft. Worth city limits, but perhaps on the Arlington/Ft. Worth line. It was, no doubt, a cooperative venture among area law enforcement agencies.
