Spokesman: Unruly Passenger Took a Swing at Romney

Spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom says Romney and his wife were on an Air Canada flight to Los Angeles on Monday when Romney asked the passenger sitting in front of his wife, Ann, to raise his seat back before take off.

Fehrnstrom says the passenger then became enraged and took a swing at Romney.

3. The story makes national news, and now everyone knows what a “regular guy” Romeny is because he rides in coach.

Do I believe this was staged to help Romeny’s political aspirations? Of course not (wink wink, nudge nudge).

On my last airline trip, the guy behind me bellowed at me to stop moving in my seat because I was bothering him. I did not reply. Suddenly he was in the isle, coming at me and roaring with anger. A cabin attendant was between us, a woman, and she said, "Is there a problem?" fixing him with a frozen smile. The thug backed down and returned to his seat, then kicked me through the seat back.

Airline flying can correctly be identified as a form of abuse nowadays.

You are supposed to have the seat in the forward position for take off and landing. I’ve done the same, asking the person to put their seat forward, sitting behind someone who does not follow this simple procedure. I guess that makes me a member of the ruling class.

As was explained on one of yesterdays numerous threads about this incident. That type of airplane doesn't have classes. It's just a small tube.
