The genius accepted by Mensa aged just 3 after IQ of 140 equals Bill Clinton
Daily Mail ^ | 2/17/10 | Liz Hull

Most three-year-olds are fascinated by cars and trucks.

But few can read and remember their number plates like William Potter does.

He can also name most towns and cities in the British Isles - and has just become one of the youngest people ever accepted as a member of Mensa.

With an IQ of 140, his intelligence is said to be on a par with that of Bill Clinton and, apparently, Napoleon Bonaparte.

I do not have time for Mensa. I would rather be known for what I accomplish, not for a test score and membership in this elitist group. I am an optimist, resulting from analysis of any situation as an opportunity to succeed by finding solutions. There are no problems, only opportunities. Positive solutions result from that starting premise.

So, quite frankly, anyone who knows what they are talking about would refer to their IQ scores as normal/one or two standard deviations above the mean/beyond two standard deviations from the mean/ etc. Quotations of extravagant numbers are worthless (and a bit sad, really)...

Or as a percentile.

As each test has a different standard deviation.

Them weren't brains.

Perhaps not, but "they" might as well have been. She was absolutely no "dumb blonde". Although the number I heard was 150 — never have seen any authoritative documentation on this (and I ain't going to try looking for it!)

The tests aren’t precise, just an estimate.

I certainly agree, but they overrate their intelligence. Clinton was a good speaker, but as far as Presidents go he was of mediocre intellect.

And what I find funny is, contrary to the narrative the Dems and their media create, President Bush was actually a very intelligent and accomplished man having graduated from both Yale and Harvard. But when you have the late night talk shows and a vested bias through hollywood equating a southern accent with ignorance you can make anyone fit any convenient box.

“Jayne also possessed an IQ of 163 and was known as one of the most friendliest, as well as publicity loving, stars of the era. She was one of the first sex symbols to ever own a sexual image as well as have a family.”

just googled and found this on Jayne Mansfield, but I have seen it as high as 165.

I was accepted into Mensa as a junior in HS based on my SAT scores. I attended a couple of meetings after I got out of college and was so repulsed by the people I met there, I never went back. Buncha disgusting hippies and dykesses.

So what value IQ should I claim when I say “I’ve forgotten more than you’ll ever know”?

I believe the technical term for that score is "delusional."

Well, it's pretty obvious that whoever wrote that isn't one of the most smartest people in the world... so I'm not sure I would trust any other information from them...

Without a calculator most high school grads can't make change.

I've tripped up quite a few young cashiers. Say the bill is $13.20, I hand them $15 (ten bill and a five bill) plus a quarter coin. If they can't punch in $15.25 as amount tendered to automatically get the change amount shown, they get confused. When my daughters were young kids (who knew how to do math in their heads), they would snicker at the confused cashier.

I drilled math into their heads. Say you want to buy 3 dolls, each $1.98, how much is that before tax? They'd multiply 3 x $2, then subtract 3 x 2 cents, or in other words $6 minus 6 cents getting $5.94. Math taught this way is fun. The commie teachers in schools now, are humorless drones that haven't the best interests of their students in mind.

True for conservatives but not liberals. Just think of Sen. Robert Byrd of W.V., Lyndon Johnson of Texas, and Jimmy Carter of Ga. They never call them dumb. All are/were liberal Democrats.
