Bill O'Reilly Supports Gun Confiscation In Any Emergency
Fox News Channel | Thursday, February 18, 2010 | paulycy

Posted on 02/18/2010 5:36:35 PM PST by paulycy

Bill 0'Reilly, interviewing the founder of Oath Keepers, questioned Oath Keeper's opposition to the govt confiscating guns - or even discussing the issue in public. B0R implied there was some violent, subversive agenda to even discussing the issue and stated plainly that any mayor - such as in New Orleans after Katrina - had a perfect right to confiscate guns because they had to maintain "control" or "anarchy" would result.

...or should I say (closet) moron.

Hardly a closet moron! He's a full fledged, unadulterated moron for all of us to see!

Oh, I understand Glenn Beck. He is very good at what he does and I believe the history lessons he gives, it’s the drama and crying and all of the theatrics that I can do without.

BOR is in favor of suspending the Constitution, whatever the reason.

That is the impression he quite definitely left me with, too. Keeping up with the media is something I do and I swear I have NEVER seen anybody but MSNBC/Air America/HBO (maher) idiots come anywhere close to the views 0'Reilly supported tonight. To me this is a huge milestone.

Perhaps instead of a boycott we ought to innundate him with inquiries demanding to know just when he believes that United States citizens should be deprived of their Constitutional rights and cede *total* power to the state.

Bill 0'Reilly: Step up and answer the tough questions. No spin.

I watch him seldom. Don’t have time.

What I did see though seemed to have been a very deliberate game where he attempts to pick certain issues and beats on them to show his “middle of the roadness.” Some of his statements, as well as his apparently cherry-picked comments that are aired at the end, show a deliberate attempt at showing the unbiased and neutral nature of his show. It’s sorta cheesy.

Like so often, the truth in practicality and by historic example is 180 degrees from what some people philosophically hold on to as the truth. So is the case with O’Reilly. All that happened when law enforcement confiscated privately owned weapons was that those that are the anarchists as well as the villains were given free reign over a populous unable to protect themselves. Beyond the Constitutional argument, O’Reilly makes no damn sense if he were to look into what he was saying rather than blurting out some emotional feeling on the subject. Take a look at Texas just a few months later when a Hurricane of near the same destructive power rolled in and see (There were reports on this) what armed “citizens” did deter and stop crime and the answer is obvious. Law enforcement reacts to crime, they are really inept at preventing it for various reasons.

So, in an emergency, when they’re most needed, BOR say we should surrender them... fat chance.

I haven’t screamed so much at my television in a long time. BOR is the biggest idiot I have ever seen or heard. He said that a state of emergency should give the government the right to disarm the citizens. How stupid!! It is when we are in a state of emergency that we all need to be armed. When there are roving bands of looters, thieves and killers is when the good citizens need to be armed.

And then he said that soldiers using their own judgment to disobey an order they consider unlawful or unconstitutional would lead to anarchy. That is exactly what is codified in the Military Code of Justice. You can be court-martialed for disobeying a lawful order or for obeying an unlawful order. The soldier himself has to make his choice. He doesn’t get to call a lawyer for advice. Good God. BOR is a freaking elitist snob who thinks the average person can’t read the Constitution and understand it. Maybe he is just projecting his own stupidity on to other people.

I just accidentally had the television his show when he displayed that pathetic, un-American, maddening bunch of crap. I won’t make that mistake again. I will quickly change the channel in the future.

BOR was not listening to the speaker when he was trying to make OR understand we military take an oath to support and defend the Constitution not the President. He seems to think we take the oath to the President to since he is CIC. What rubish. BOR always has to be right..talk about a narcissist!
And yes even if the President gives an order, if it is an unlawful order we are not required to do it.
Remember earlier last year when we were reading the concerns that 0bama was going to come out with an oath to him or the office of the President? In Nazi Germany the military had to take an oath to Hitler...the comparisons were being made then.

I don’t know what gives with O’Reilly but in the last few days he has vilified the tea party movement saying they are a bunch of whack jobs. If I want to see this kind of garbage, I can turn the channel to MSNBC. O’Reilly is really pissing me off. The second I See that crap I Just change the channel to something else. I don’t need to hear him vilify a beautiful movement with wonderful people who care about this country
