When we conceived the RINO FREE AMERICA PROJECT ON FREE REPUBLIC, we envisioned Conservative activism that would send RINOs packing and replacing them with true Conservatives worthy of our support. NOW we need your help to defeat the biggest RINO of all.
Many of us here on Free Republic have been cheering JD Hayworth on because John McCain is possibly the worst, (and most powerful,) RINO serving in the Senate today and he simply MUST be defeated lest he betray us again as he has so many times throughout his less than stellar tenure.
While "the force" might be with John McCain in his own mind, most Conservatives are NOT. We understand all too well that he is only "conservative" when his seat is on the line and that if reelected, he will be right back consorting with the likes of Kerry, and his "friends" on the far left to once again attack our principles and values to give the Progressives in Congress the edge while dismissing us as he always has...until next election season.
Conservatives all across this land have pleaded with JD Hayworth to run against him, and now that he has finally announced, the faux conservatives, aka RINOs, have come literally out of the woodwork to support John McCain and Conservatives have been AWOL on JD. To be fair, some actual conservatives fear that he might indeed be reelected and will not come out against him for that reason. Mccain wields an infamously powerful and vindictive sword when angered.
It's time to change that. On Monday, February 15, JD opened his site for donations. He isn't asking for much. $100,000 will not go very far to defeat an incumbent who has millions in his warchest. I have been checking every day to see how he is doing and to my surprise, though it has been five full days, he is still less than $90,000.
THIS year, unlike any years previous, all elections are national. This country is fighting for its very life. Every single Congressional election, no matter where it is, affects every single one of us no matter where we live, from Maine to Hawaii, in ways that we cannot afford to dismiss.
John McCain and Lindsey Graham are FOR amnesty. FOR cap and Trade. FOR limits on our rights of free speech. John McCain led the fight against enhanced interrogation of terrorists even though he now seems upset that what he espoused has been carried out and terrorists have been treated kindly and gently by this administration.
You ALL know what John Mccain will do if reelected because he has said it. He said it before the ink had dried during and after the presidential election. He will do everything in his power to HELP obama do what HE thinks is right for the country. It doesn't matter what WE think.
If we do not stop him now, we might never get the chance again...and he MUST be stopped. John McCain is a one man wrecking crew and is proud of it. He brags about it while calling us "his friends."
We are not his friends. He hates us and everything we stand for...and for many of us, the feeling is more than mutual.
Though many, and maybe even most of us are hurting right now, remember how we got that way, and remember the RINOs who put us here. At the top of that list is John Mccain. If you are as angry as you say you are, a few bucks to JD Hayworth will not make you hurt any worse than you already do, and it just might be the best few bucks you ever spent in your life.
Contribute to John McCain's early retirement and smile while you do it. Go to JD's site and add your few bucks ASAP. Help take him over the $ hundred thousand $ mark in the next 24 hours...and don't stop there. We begged him to run. He is running. Now we have to help him WIN. Get the word out. Tell anyone and everyone you know how important this election is. Our country depends on it.
I e-mailed those three to the Hayworth Campaign.

The most recent online scores from the American Conservative Union are from 2008. In that year, John McCain scored 63 and had a lifetime average of 81.43. (All scores reported here are on a scale of zero to 100, with 100 being perfectly conservative according to the scorer.) His lifetime average put him in 32nd place in the 2008 Senate, or in the top 32%.
J.D. Hayworth’s last full year in Congress was 2006. His 2006 ACU score was 96, his 2005 score was 100, and his lifetime average was 97.56. His lifetime average put him in 16th place in the 2006 House, or in the top 4%.
