I’m more comfortable when Obama’s Strongly disapprove number is at or above 43%. When it sinks to 40 I worry that he’s beginning to reestablish traction.

Wow. From -11 to -17 in one day. And remember, Rasmussen is actually giving us a THREE DAY AVERAGE. How in the heck can you move 6 points with a three day average? He would have to be polling overnight in at least the middle -20’s.

Is the 23% "Strongly Approve" the lowest on record?

I'm a little disappointed that the "Strongly Disapprove" rarely gets above 43%... :0(

Overall, 45% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Fifty-three percent (53%) disapprove.”

That is pretty much in line with this CNN poll:
CNN poll: 52% say Obama doesn't deserve reelection in 2012
52 percent of Americans said President Barack Obama doesn't deserve reelection in 2012, according to a new poll.

44 percent of all Americans said they would vote to reelect the president in two and a half years, less than the slight majority who said they would prefer to elect someone else.

Obama faces a 44-52 deficit among both all Americans and registered voters, according to a CNN/Opinion Research poll released Tuesday. Four percent had no opinion.”

Cheney is right. 0bozo is going to be a one termer.
Without the idiot media shilling for the Narcissist in Chief 24/7, he'd be at 36-60 by now. Fortunately, Rush and the rest of Talk Radio, Beck etc are doing the heavy lifting in education voters about how really evil 0bama is.

Real Clear Politics dot com has his overall approval rating at 47.4% approve and 45.6% disapprove. It’s been hanging in this range for a week or so now and seems to have leveled off here. During the health care debate, his numbers plummeted, but have leveled off since then.

This is dire. Was Nixon ever so low in the ratings?

And Nixon was well into his second term.

I figure that at least 29-35% of the voters are die-hard leftists, who supported bill clinton through thick and thin.

The fact that he has dropped to 23% says to me that he has strongly disillusioned many of these die-hard leftists, probably the looniest of them.

In fact, I know a few such people, and they all hate Obama for betraying them. He said he’d give us gay marriage, but he hasn’t. He said he’d end the war, but he hasn’t. He said he’d give us socialized health care, but he hasn’t. And so on.

In other words, he is unpopular with just about everybody. Half of that 23% that is sticking with him is probably blacks and Muslims. The other half is hopeless idiots on welfare.

But these disillusioned leftists aren’t going to vote Republican. They may stay home, but they aren’t against Obama for the same reasons that we are. Too many broken promises. Stalin and Mao could afford to do that, because if anyone objected, they were off to the death camps. Obama can’t do that—yet.

That’s really a sharp decline from a few days ago, when he was almost 50/50.

The “strongly” approved numbers are on a consistent downward trend. What seems to be the variable is softness in the “strongly” disapprove numbers which are almost on a downward trend as well.
