On immigration: McCain stressed the importance of securing the border and establishing a legal temporary-worker program. Foreign workers could take jobs that Americans wouldn't want - such as agricultural jobs in Yuma that go begging - with the burden on employers to quit employing each person at the end of some specified time. Kyl faulted the administration for short-changing border enforcement.

McCain: Americans' won't work for as little as $50/hour picking lettuce (April 4, 2006)
McCain responded by saying immigrants were taking jobs nobody else wanted. He offered anybody in the crowd $50 an hour to pick lettuce in Arizona. Shouts of protest rose from the crowd, with some accepting McCain's job offer. "I'll take it!" one man shouted. McCain insisted none of them would do such menial labor for a complete season. "You can't do it, my friends." Some in the crowd said they didn't appreciate McCain questioning their work ethic.
That said, I think JD would do it right, McCain needs to get lost. I gave to JDs campaign, and so should you!!! OK, just asking.
And if you want to know a secret, Pres Eisenhower knows how to do it, because he already did it once ... And then ...

With more than 10 percent unemployment McLame wants to give jobs to illegals....what a brainiac is McCainiac.
Hmmm. I question Juan McShame’s rating. I’d have to put him over to the left - at least 3-4 squares.
Ah ha ha ha.
There are so many "temporary worker" programs already in existence it's beyond comprehension.
Mad Johnny is just repeating himself, same BS he's been pedaling for decades.
Must sound ridiculous in Arizona. I have so many friends who have bought houses for next to nothing (awesome places I might add) in Phoenix and Tucson because their owners lost their jobs, businesses, everything.
And this A**hole is running around babbling about "we need more "workers"?
We need fewer of him.
Move to Mexico if you're so damned enamored of it McCain.
Temporary worker program makes sense. At least we will know who the illegal immigrants are and what jobs they are working in. Wight now we have 15 to 30 million illegals with no idea who they are or where they are. There is no way to locate them or round them up if need arises.
Park buses outside the welfare offices, load them up and haul them to the cabbage patch!
I've shoveled enough poop in my time that NO ONE is going to tell me that they're too good to do ANY JOB!
I've had countless people approach me in the store with their little bundle of papers from the government, and many of them said, "you don't need no help, do you"? They were scared to death that I was going to hire them!
Good picture of how they REALLY are!
We have N O jobs for criminal trespassers!
Bravo!!
I agree. I was surprised when I saw this before. It made me mistrust the test when I'd always put so much stock in it.
Have you taken the test? It's pretty neat and it's a quick test.
We have been SO had! Look at this Cpac news. The GOP has been taken over by the left. No other explanation. And McCain and Grover Norquist are right at the top of it.
Gay republicans and illegal aliens...WHAT A COUNTRY!
CPAC betrays America on immigration
Saturday, February 20, 2010
CPAC board member Grover Norquist is busy launching a new project in support of the Obama administrations plan to grant another amnesty to 20 million illegal aliens. Neither border control nor immigration enforcement was included as a topic for any of the CPAC general sessions.

I'd have no problem with McCain's less than stellar record if he didn't take such delight in poking conservatives in the eye at the worst possible times-- amnesty, McCain-Feingold, crap and trade and the like.
