O'Reilly baits Palin to be-fringe birthers -- she won't bite
Renew America ^ | February 17, 2010 | Michael Bresciani

Rev. Michael Bresciani is a Christian author and a columnist for several online sites and magazines.

In an interview with Sarah Palin on Tuesday February 16, Bill O'Reilly repeatedly asked former Governor Sarah Palin to state whether she thought 'birthers' are on the fringe. She went ahead to describe the kinds of people she encountered at the Tea Party meetings but tactfully avoided directly answering the question.

Palin who has undergone relentless media bashing since her run for the White House seemed unwilling to join the fray of name calling and pigeon holing that is so much a part of politics and punditry in this day. It was a show of grace and dignity that is one of her best qualities that the media seems to be missing most of the time.

O'Reilly asserts ...

"My son is 11 months old, and we NEVER received his from the hospital, despite them repeatedly saying they’d sent it - all we have is the type you order from your state or county."

They do not issue certificates from the hospitals anymore like they did years ago with the baby's time of birth, weight, height, cute foot prints etc. You are now only issued a Certified Copy from the Health Dept in the State and County where you were born.

To many people thought those were the actual Birth Certificates.

" am not a fire breathing birther but I would like to know that the man or woman we put into the oval office is truly qualified for the audience."

Do you think that staunch conservatives who can make a difference and passionately hate Obama would raise this issue? Palin hasn't, Cheney hasn't (Dick or Liz), Bush hasn't(I, II,or Jeb), Hannity, Rush, Savage, Levin, Malkin, and even Coulter refuse to be labeled birthers/loons. Birthers--it's past time you realize that you are the malignant tumor on the Tea Party Movement that must be publicly excised as you were in Nashville. If I am misinformed please let me know which Tea Party candidates will publicly embrace your birther conspiracy theory. To date I have seen none!

I found my birth certificate in my mother’spapers after she died also. But it was not a state form, it was a hospital document.

For those of us who were born before the states began to computerize their records, the hospital certificate was the only legal birth document. It had my footprint on it, plus mother’s and father’s names and their places of birth. It was signed by the doctor who delivered me and the hospital administrator.

But these hospital birth certificates are no longer recognized by the states or federal governments as legal birth documentation. To get my driver’s license after I moved back to Texas last year, I had to go to Louisiana, fill out an application, and wait.

The state searched their computerized data base (which, for Louisiana, is in a building in New Orlean — not Baton Rouge, the capitol). When they found it, they transmitted it to the office in Alexandria, where I applied. It was printed out on standard forms (I purchased both the short form and the long form) on printers there in the local Dept. of Records office.

Though the state B/Cs are the official documents, only the hospital document was issued on the date of my birth, and only the hospital document has my unique footprint. yet the state of Texas would not accept a hospital b/c for me to get my D/L, nor would it accept my valid Missouri D/L. it would only take an after-the-fact B/C issued by another state. i understand that the feds will only accept a state B/C also for the purpose of issuing a U.S. passport.

Don’t know if other states did it the same way Louisiana did back in the pre-computer days. But it seems to me it would be easier to tamper with the state electronic records than a hospital b/c. You would need to have the attending physician and hospital administrator in on the scam, and you would have to transfer a footprint from the original hospital b/c or one from elsewhere which would not be the actual person’s baby footprint.

I don't believe O'Reilly has ever shown anybody his long form birth certificate either.

So, what about it ~ does O'Reilly have one?

Who cares? If we don't like him we can just turn him off.

Does the law require him to be a citizen before he's allowed to legally be in the media?

I didn't think so.

First, I am not a birther and never said I was. Just because I want to ensure that those seeking the highest offices in the land are qualified to lead this country you want to call me a malignant tumor. You say I am a malignant tumor, or a tumor the tea party? Why, because a person asks questions? What was that Beck said, “question with boldness”?

I believe in the tea party movement and have from the start, We have been called everything in the book, un American, AstroTurf, extremest, militias and racist. People on FR are too quick to start labeling and name calling and that's why we will never come together and elect someone to lead the party and win in 2012.

I presented a birth certificate, passport, old license from Indiana, a affidavit of residency from my wife, medical bills post marked in my name, military id....

I was denied as a non resident, we have to change the bank account and wait for a statement now.

If only I were running for president.

I concur, When i saw Oreilly keep pushing on that single issue in the interview, I realized he may be intentionally aiding a coordinated effort to discredit birthers. No other explanation at this time. We dont get cable so i was never
one to follow him or bek or other Fox talkers. I only hear
about what he says when commented on FR. I know his conservative credentials were questioned at least as far back as Hurricane Katrina and support of gun confiscation.

It is probably part of their plan to wreck the country. Can you imagine them mocking the constitution with “their fake president” who tricked the system? If so, then there ought to be a lot of prosecutions.
