The field is weak, but I personally support Haley Barbour at the moment if he were to throw his hat into the ring.

An outstanding governor whose champion issue is Tort Reform which Mississippi has the strongest Tort Reform laws in the country. He’s still being praised by his coastal cities for his handling of Katrina. Many political allies and opponents have praised him for his character and integrity. Solidly conservative, but the Palin-bots have one or two things they don’t like about him so that immediately disqualifies him.

FR has pretty poor track record in getting the nominee they want so that gives me some hope.

He was on with Chris Wallace yesterday and would not rule out running. I like him alot too, I also like Sarah Palin alot. I have no idea what you are talking about as far as palin supporters. I am a big Palin supporter who loves Haley Barbour.

You’re welcome, I have always wondered at the fact that the founders apparently missed the same class as the preamble to the constitution contains the words, “a more perfect union”. My teachers were always very clear in saying that it is an error, perfect is perfect they said, it is a superlative, meaning that it allows no room for improvement, so “more perfect” is actually a contradiction in terms.

“The Quitter isn’t even remotely close to being the perfect candidate.”
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Whatever you say, I was only commenting on a point of English usage, my point being that perfect is perfect, it is a superlative so “more perfect” is a contradiction in terms in spite of the fact that the preamble to the constitution refers to a “more perfect union”.

As far as Governor Palin’s actual qualifications, I think she is vastly superior to any Democrat I could name and probably to be preferred over most Republicans. Is she perfect? No, and I don’t really expect her to be the Republican nominee for 2012, I still take the position that American women do not want to elect a woman as president. If they did they would have nominated and elected Hillary Clinton.

I hope that we can find a Republican nominee who can win in 2012, we cannot stand another four years of a Democrat administration, Obama or any other. The Democratic party should rename itself the Communist party of America. Not that real democracy is any better than real communism but most people think it is anyway.
