Newly-seated Republican Sen. Scott Brown (Mass.) on Monday joined Democrats in voting to end debate on their $15 billion jobs bill.

Brown crossed the aisle after Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) nixed an $85 billion, bipartisan plan in favor of a more narrowly-focused bill.

I am so sorry I donated to him.

If $787 Billion doesn’t create jobs, why would 15 billion more ?

Shame on Brown, he seems just like Obama to me.

Wow. Just him?

Nope! The girls from Maine voted the same as Brown but that was expected.

It bugs me when Senators say they are voting for what is best for their state, as Brown just did. Senators are supposed to be looking at the larger picture and doing what is best for their country rather than their state. The Representatives in the House are the appropriate partisans for their states and districts.

BIG PICTURE, folks! Remember it.

Brown’s blocking a die-hard communist like Ted Kennedy from a Masshole seat is a huge victory. There is nothing wrong with having RINOs in traditional socialist hard-left seats.

This is a GOOD THING. Brown is not the problem. He done good for us in Masshollachewsits.

The RINOs to scorn, chase and crush are the ones blocking good Conservatives in conservative districts.

Please don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. A Mass RINO is a good thing. It is a Pennsylvania or Alaska or Wyoming RINOs we need to defeat. I’ll take Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maryland and California, etc... RINOs all day long, and twice on Sunday, as about the best we are going to get from those corrupted communist states.

Lets get RINOs in the blue states, Conservatives in our RED-blooded patriotic states, and get our Constitutional freedoms back and not let the socialists hijack SCOTUS.

My best hopes for Obama are being realized: his over-reaching is waking the nation’s wishy-washy independent middle to the damage socialism is doing to our country.

No they can add to it. Better there is no bill. Looks like Mr. Brown hasn’t learned why he was elected.

A $15 Billion “jobs” bill on top of everything else Congress has done since 01/20/09 is a drop in the bucket. Anyone suppose they’re picking their battles, and that perhaps the purpose of this is to grab a headline that debunks the Democrat’s “Party of Obstruction” manta that will be forthcoming after the ObamaCare summit this week?

Could be a smart move, gets him support from blue-collars in his state. And now he is free to vote against health care. He will vote against it, won’t he?

Republican Scott Brown joined four other Republicans, 55 Democrats and two independents

Misleading, this is not the vote for the actual bill, but one of the steps leading to the vote for the actual bill, correct? Who were the other 4 Republicans that voted to advance this bill?

I would only add one thing.

Brown is the best we can do in a Mass seat. He is NOT what we want in a politician, but he is a good value for us as 1 of 100 US Senators.

But the Romneybots may now begin to understand why Romney is a danger for us. Romney is to the Presidency is what Brown is to the Senate. It is a help to us to have a RINO block a socialist from a Mass senate seat. It is NOT a help to have a RINO like Romney be sole elected president.

Please DO NOT BROWN US with Mitt Romney.

Tax credits for small businesses, do create jobs. It’s in the jobs bill.

The heck it isn’t. They can add anything they want including the health bill to this bill. That’s the problem with voting for anything while the Lefties have control.

Well, 15 billion is better then the original 85 Billion.

They saved 70 billion dollars! We should love them!

It didn’t take Scott Brown long to prove Glenn Beck right to Bill Bennett.

From Scott Brown's facebook page...

“I came to Washington to be an independent voice, to put politics aside, and to do everything in my power to help create jobs for Massachusetts families. This Senate jobs bill is not perfect. I wish the tax cuts were deeper and broader, but I am voting for it because it contains measures that will help put people back ...to work. ... I hope for improvements in that process going forward.”

Rush bashed McCain thoroughly until he got the nomination. Then he was rightly forced to rally the troops so as to insure Obama would not win. He was unable to do his part to rally the troops, and we’ve got Obama anyway, with all the damage he has wrought.

McLame sucks but would not have damaged us in the extreme manner Obama has.

That said, some have felt we needed to hit bottom before we could move the country back to the right and reclaim some of our freedoms. A lot of conservatives said it was better to let the Dems do their damage so we could get it over with and get back to taking back the Republican party from the country club blue blood new world order types.

Well, it is hard to say they were wrong. It is looking like, by their staying home and allowing Obama’s win, they gave the commie Dems the rope they needed to hang themselves with.

I would have voted for McLame to prevent the short term damage, but maybe with Obama, we will be taking some short term damage but getting a long-term benefit.

I guess we will see.
