And your posts are so similar, right next to one another, providing low-keyed support for McCain in a largely anti-McCain forum.

I thought this was a conservative forum. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to focus energy on taking down McCain at this point. He’s been 100% to Obama’s agenda since day 1. McCain isn’t going to be in the leadership of the party, and he’s basically irrelevant going forward. I’d rather focus on getting people like Rubio, Chuck DeVore, Rob Portman, and other conservative up and comers elected rather than taking out McCain.

I'm betting if MCain goes, he'll feign outrage and pretend to be conservative because of the AZ challenge from JD.

*Ponders*

On second thought, he might. just. be. dumb. enough. to. reach. across. that. aisle.

“Can anyone name something that McCain has done since Obama was elected that has disappointed them? As far as I can tell, McCain has been one of the most stridently opposed to Obama’s agenda. If I’m wrong, someone tell me otherwise.”

There are dozens of threads on FR spelling out all the wrong things McCain has done in the last year. He’s the only republican on the news you get to see, so yeah, he looks like the opposition.

One of the worst things he’s done is lie about J.D. Hayworth, or any other conservative that opposes him.

He just introduced some legislation restricting your right to choose what kind of supplements you want to buy.

And he STILL has a bad gambling habit supported by Indian tribe lobbyists who are his campaign managers and all gambling at Indian casinos while he’s head of the Indian affairs committee in the Senate.

And he STILL plans to push amnesty on us.

There’s more if you care to see it.

I’m sure his wife “cut him off” years ago ;-)

“I thought this was a conservative forum.”

It is. It’s not a ‘let’s settle for this old moderate fool again’ forum.

From before the pres. election:

“Free Republic Opinion Poll:
Would you be for or against McCain?
Member Opinion
against 92.4% 2,989
for 7.6% 247”

He’ll reach. It’s what he does. McCain doesn’t like conservatives or conservatism, IMO.

Bingo! If one looks strictly at his record, you'll find a lot more attacks on conservatives than compliments. In fact, I'm not sure I've ever seen McCain actually acknowledge conservatives in a good light. Feel free to correct me.

Can anyone name something that McCain has done since Obama was elected that has disappointed them? As far as I can tell, McCain has been one of the most stridently opposed to Obama’s agenda.

McCain has been relatively reliable since the election.

However, that's one of his problems.

He was relatively conservative...until he first ran for President in 2000. Over the next eight years, he became increasingly liberal -- seemingly just to poke Bush in the eye. He voted against tax cuts. Remember McCain-Feingold? McCain-Kennedy?

Then, in 2008, he ran for President again. And got even more liberal. He campaigned on global warming. He seemed intent on insulting conservatives at least once daily.

He was defeated. Now, he's running for re-election in Arizona. And he is a conservative, again.

Notice a pattern here?

McCain isn't a conservative. Nor is he a liberal. He is a rank opportunist.

He will say whatever he needs to say to get elected. Then, he will go to Washington and do whatever suits him.

We really don't need this kind of politician anymore.

Well McConnel And Boehner certainly said the idea of it being a possible show concerned them both, right from the get go, and even mentioned as much to Bo.

If Bo’s intentions are to simply present himself in the limelight as he always does, and his doctored up senate bill, then really what is the purpose of our guys staying?or will they even go?

Again..will be interesting to see how this plays out but perhaps the Rep’s shouldn’t even go. This had already played in congress and that’s where it should stay in my opinion. It’s like a see-saw..

......”Like him or not, McCain is well-known and highly trusted by seniors from all ideological perspectives. He is a good addition to this contingent”.....

Are you nuts! You’re talking to the wrong person when it comes to McCain..He is hardly trusted which is why he’ll be gone soon. Sheesh..where did you come from?

We’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see what Boehner plans to do. Stupid Mitch already released the names of his senate particpants. I’m certain Boehner is going to permit Mitch and his team to go it alone.

Well..Bo wouldn’t be sitting where he is now, and neither would our country be on the skids if it weren’t for McCain handing BO the election... so that ends the story of anything McCain might have to say from that point on in my book and al lot of other peoples.
