U.S. Rep. Barney Frank in Orlando to stump for Grayson

U.S. Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., has teamed up with U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson in Congress on credit card legislation, proposed laws to blunt corporate giving in campaigns and regulating the financial derivatives that sent Wall Street spiraling.

On Friday, Frank will meet with a broad range of supporters — from the arts- and gay and lesbian community as well as party and financial sector stalwarts — for a fund raiser to support Central Florida’s fiery Democrat at The Sanctuary Downtown. The $250 event is being hosted by Ted Maines and Jeff Miller, local backers of Equality Florida, a group that fights discrimination.

Other notables on the guest list for Frank, who heads up the House Financial Service Committee: Arts patron Jim Pugh and former Orange Democratic Party chairman Doug Head.

Alan Grayson’s mouth has made him one of the biggest jerks in Congress. How ironic that his mouth has drawn Barney Frank to his district to splutter and splatter wondrous words of flapdoodle on his behalf.
