White House privately plots 2012 campaign run(plans to paint unflattering picture of candidates)

President Barack Obama’s top advisers are quietly laying the groundwork for the 2012 reelection campaign, which is likely to be run out of Chicago and managed by White House deputy chief of staff Jim Messina, according to Democrats familiar with the discussions. But the sources said Obama has given every sign of planning to run again, and wants the next campaign to resemble the highly successful 2008 effort.

David Axelrod, White House senior adviser, may leave the West Wing to rejoin his family in Chicago and reprise his role as Obama’s muse, overseeing the campaign’s tone, themes, messages and advertising, the sources said.

David Plouffe, the Obama for America campaign manager, described by one friend as "the father of all this," will be a central player in the reelect, perhaps as an outside adviser. The DNC sees Republican challengers ramping up earlier than ever and has decided to begin defining potential opponents early. Operatives are already assembling research and drafting unflattering narratives to push about the leading possible 2012 candidates.

Anita Dunn, former White House communications director, will be intimately involved, too. Brad Woodhouse, the Democratic National Committee’s communications director, has rising stock and is a logical choice to be communications director for the reelection campaign, the sources said.

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer and senior adviser Valerie Jarrett are likely to remain at the president’s side in Washington, while exercising major influence over the campaign. Pfeiffer, communications director of the last campaign and always a trusted insider, has a higher public profile every day.

Aides expect Obama to hew to a similar schedule. A president’s reelection campaign — “the reelect,” as Obama intimates are already calling it — is a massive, lavishly funded machine that hires hundreds of people and spends hundreds of millions of dollars to carry out the mechanics of a national campaign, while the candidate and many of his top aides continue their day jobs of running the free world.

Obama's campaign will get a head start from the large machine he has built at the DNC, including Organizing for America, the successor to his campaign grassroots operation.

All he has to do is run against the Republican Congress.

Shepard Fairey was demonizing Obama's predecesor before he was praising the new god.

Obama cannot claim to be "above the fray" when it comes to the Bushitler BS. He KNOWINGLY hired a creep behind it.

“White House privately plots 2012 campaign run(plans to paint unflattering picture of candidates)”

Well Obama is obviously not going to be able to tout the campaign promises he kept.

All the more reason for opposing candidates to stay below radar as long as possible.

I certainly don’t want them to seriously surface until early 2011. If they can’t get organized and raise funds in a year, leaving 2012 for campaigning, they aren’t worth supporting anyway.

"White House privately plots 2012 campaign run(plans to paint unflattering picture of candidates) "

Actually, there are plenty of "unflattering" photos of obama out there, I've got quite a few myself.

Let's just run the ones of him bowing to the Saudi king, or smoking cigarettes, or the best one: dressed entirely in Muslim garb.

Just showing the campaign lies he told the first time around is proof enough that his entire, teleprompTered bull$h!+ rhetoric is not to be believed.

His list of lies is longer than Al Franken's letter to Santa Claus and we can enumerate them one by one...it's done often right here on FR.

Unless something crooked goes on at the 2012 election, I don't see king obama getting re-elected...not after the shenanighans he's pulled in this past yet, and the economic failures yet to happen.

He has needed only one year to totally expose himself a liar and socialist who hates America...a younger Jerimiah Wright.

Millions have "voters remorse" for voting for him last time; he's make them look, and feel, like fools, and he'll no loyalty from them in the future.

"You can fool ALL of the people some of the time,
and you can fool some of the people ALL of the time,
But you can't fool ALL of the people, ALL of the time
"

So, if prince oogah boogah wants to start his little games now, thinking "unflattering photos" will win it for him, he's needs to remember that Sarah Palin at her very worst is 100 times better than barrack obama, at his best.

The pResident and his recycled campaign staff needs to bear in mind that they don't set the rules for elections, and we don't intend to follow his rules.

However, when it comes to dirt, we have 100 times more on him than he has on any candidate. And what happened to the states that were considering requiring proof of natural born citizenship before allowing presidential candidates on their state's ballots...did that ever pass anywhere? If not, it needs to...we only need one.

It doesn't matter what "unflattering pictures" they paint of any other candidates, the obama administration is the poster boy for "liars international" and it will be just another lie.

Meanwhile, we'll just have another cup of TEA while we wait for their dog and pony show to begin...oh, and don't forget the popcorn.

What's the new 2012 campaign slogan going to be: "Ok, OK...the real hope and change I promised"?
