Even thinking that you have know what the “common good” is is arrogance.

This business of taxing firefighters, police and dynamite haulers for their necessarily more expensive medical insurance plans is actually quite bizarre.
I do believe Congress-critters would themselves rebel at having to pay a tax for receiving access to Bethesda Naval Hospital, et al IND ADDITION TO their other medical insurance with private companies, e.g. Kaiser-Permanente.
