Debra Medina, new star of America's right, is firing up the race for Texas governor
The Observer ^ | 2-28-10 | Paul Harris

Lytle is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it kind of town, one of hundreds that dot the vast flat ranchlands of southern Texas. A smear of houses by the main highway between San Antonio and Laredo. Population: 2,383. The first streets only got paved here in the years after the second world war. A sewage system took a little longer, not being built until the 1960s. In short, Lytle, Texas, has never been big enough to have much impact on the politics of the Lone Star state. And few Texas politicians have ever paid much attention to it.

"Better a liar than a nut."

LOL... Well now that does explain why the pathological liar Obama is our president.

Since we weren't at the Holocaust is it OK for politicians to question whether it even happened?

Some things need to be ridiculed for their obvious absurdity.

Government involvement in 9/11 is one.

And she should NOT have equivocated on her response.

Do you even understand what a conservative is.. or do you let the media and RINOs lead you around by the nose?

I agree! Anybody who gets support from LaRaza tells me they support amnesty for ILLEGALS.

Sorry .. not a person I would support.

Debra Medina is a Ron Paul butt-girl.

No thanks!

It sounds like she is as goofy as cut and run Paul. What is wrong with Texas? MN has its SNL clown and Texas has Ron Paul and Debra Medina.

"It’s a shame our choices in Texas are limited to Perry, Medina and KBH. I’d guess that the reason there is so much bickering on these threads is that none of the candidates are really that impressive so you have to pick and choose knowing there is a big downside to any of them."

I agree. In my opinion they all suck. The only reason I'm voting for Medina is I have a very good memory and both Perry and Hutchison are liars and scumbags as evidenced by their records. Medina has yet to prove herself either and I'm not going to just sit by and let people trash her without evidence and projecting one's own impressions on someone else based upon some bogus hearsay or trying to read between the lines does not constitute "evidence."

My response was about not being there was directed at the issue with her parents.

She’s toast!!! She thinks Bush and his administration could have been involved in 9/11. Give s a break!!

She has said multiple times, as she said on the Beck show, that she does not think the US government was involved. She added that all the facts are not in, as they never are when there is a "conspiracy" claimed, and that is all she said. She is right. She did not claim a conspiracy but only admitted there are those who do say that. Because all the facts are not in there will be those who claim Bush was involved but that is not Medina.

To continue to repeat a falsehood does no credit to either of you or any others down the thread who may say the same.

I have to disagree. This article comes from the Guardian which is a far left publication. It does not believe in Democracy and does not have our country’s or my state’s best interests in mind ever.

I have reservations about all candidates, but I’ve already voted for Rick Perry.

From what I’ve read about Debra Medina, she is not really conservative. She’s hopey and changey.

Two things. One - Medina has never said she thinks our government may have orchestrated the 9/11 attacks; you Perry supporters try to put those words into her mouth.

She said she hadn't ruled it out. That's ridiculously ignorant!

Two - How is someone who thinks our government may have helped to orchestrate the biggest fraud known to man (man-made global warming) conservative? You've never heard of the government's "Cap and trade" legislation they're trying to ram down our throats? If you think our government is being truthful with us vote for Perry. If you think big government is out to screw you vote for Medina. Maybe you should take the time to learn who Medina is and what she stands for before ripping her apart eh?

You have got to be kidding me?! All that you have stated above has absolutely nothing to do with believing that our country was in any way responsible for 9-11.

If that is what you believe, then you are on the wrong side of conservatism and the wrong side of this forum.

Maybe the "Coast To Coast" site would suit you better. This woman is a loon!

Question for Medina supporters.....why did she run for the highest state office first instead of getting local experience?

This is a hit piece on the Tea Party - trying to tie them with a 9-11 truther nutcase like Medina.

I totally agree with you. The media has to find a way to discredit and disban the TPers.

Yes...no...

And she says I DONT KNOW?

Maybe we should ask you the same question....

Do YOU think the govt blew up the world trade center...yes or no...
"

>> I don't know.

Let me ask you a few questions.

Was/is the Bush, or any administration completely transparent with us in every way? To make the question simpler for you to understand. Do you think the government tells us everything? Yes or no?

If you answer yes then you are naive. If you answer no then let me ask you why think that? Why would you believe the government would not disclose certain information to the general public? and if you have an answer for that please provide evidence to support your lack of faith in the government being transparent.

Perry supporters did not make it up. Nuts like Charlie Sheen (and Medina) have been called “truthers” for years.

‘Not quite. She gave it a lot more credence that an off-the-cuff “I don’t know.” And what about you? Do you think our government had a hand in the 9/11 attacks?”

Like Medina, I DON’T KNOW. Do you have the black boxes from any of the planes that crashed into our buildings on 9/11?’

I thought truthers were not allowed on FR!

Most people I’ve talked to don’t buy the truther stuff, but apparently many Freepers do.

Because the interview is on tape, we can read and post the transcript, and then we have the follow up statement from her about no cops dying.

It doesn’t take the government’s version to know what happened when those planes crashed into the towers, Pentagon and the field in Shanksville.

The final phone calls from the poor souls on those planes to their loved ones and the final Americanesque shout of “Let’s Roll” told me all I need to know about any idgit who cannot answer a simple definative question and asked two subsequent times in the same interview just to make sure the question was understood.

Get yourself analyzed if you can’t seem to understand these simple truths (not to be confused with “Truthers”) and face the reality that she did everything in her power to avoid answeing the question. Her contortions can only be equivacated to the now infamous “It all depends what the neaning of “is” is.”
