Mourning begins for SoCal teen after body is found (when will we learn)

The Lake Elsinore man pleaded guilty in May 2000 to molesting a 13-year-old female neighbor and served five years of a six-year prison term. Prosecutors said he lured the victim to his home with an offer to watch "Patch Adams," a 1998 movie starring Robin Williams. The girl was beaten before escaping and running to a neighbor. Gardner "never expressed one scintilla of remorse for his attack upon the victim" despite overwhelming evidence, prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memo.

He had faced a maximum of nearly 11 years in prison under terms of a plea agreement but prosecutors urged six years. A psychiatrist who interviewed Gardner, Dr. Matthew Carroll, wanted a stiffer punishment, saying in court documents that he was a "continued danger to underage girls in the community."

Gardner was on parole for three years, until September 2008, state records show.

San Diego police say Gardner is positively linked to an assault on a 22-year-old Colorado Springs, Colo., woman who managed to fend off her attacker on Dec. 27 in Rancho Bernardo Community Park on the northern edge of San Diego, where King's 1994 BMW was found with her belongings inside.

My two youngest daughters are 18 and 22. I preach these messages to them all the time. I told one recently, “I know it’s hard to believe, but there are a few kooks out there who would rape and murder you and enjoy every minute of it and consider it as normal as eating a ham sandwich.” When kids reach a certain age, they must provide their own safety because Mom and Dad can no longer keep tabs on them 24/7. They must also discard the notion that people out there couldn’t possibly be so evil as to intend them harm. I’ve given them practical lessons on how to be vigilant and alert at all times. I live in Georgia, where there have been some horrific abductions and murders over the past few years.

Castration only prevents penile penetration during a rape and somewhat diminishes the sex drive. Foreign objects can still be used as well as fingers/fists/oral sex and even feet. Pedophilia is mental as well as a physical desire castration does not address the mental urges or desire for children.

Castration should be performed however, without anesthesia, prior to a pedophiles execution.

Wikipedia screwed that citation up. Florida death row inmates have never been allowed conjugal visits. Bundy passed his sperm in a baggie to his “wife” during a visit in the visitors hall. She use that to impregnate herself.

Since that time the rules have changed. Now death row inmates are not allowed any contact visits except with their lawyers. They are allowed a brief visit the day of their execution with immediate family.

Anne Rule citation on Bundy here - http://www.annrules.com/news3.htm

I’m right next door in AL. We’re at baby steps stage in letting her drive, like back and forth to school, one mile each way. Other parents seem to just let them go the day they get their license and thus making my job a little harder. We had a good talk on the way to dance tonight and I just will have to keep strong and teach her as much as possible about being vigilant.

Not all true.

Prisons are a big business in the govt economy.Problem is it is ‘easier” to keep the least dangerous ones...

No, not for violent sexual acts! But, I was clarifying my position - sorry for any confusion!

Besides, wasn’t looking for sympathy! Neither were they! Just clarifying. Later.
