Sen. Tom Harkin tells POLITICO that Senate Democratic leaders have decided to go the reconciliation route for health care reform. The House, he said, will first pass the Senate bill after Senate leaders demonstrate that they have the votes to pass reconciliation in the Senate.

Wrong. Just like any other government action - it’s virtually impossible to reverse.

This bill needs to be killed now. I’m disappointed that it seems like the powers (both public and rep) to stop this thing are losing steam.

They can try, but this will never make it out of the chamber. The procedure to pass a bill this way is SO complicated and messy. Because it goes the way of a budget bill the Pubs can literally require this baby to be passed line by line. They have signaled they will do just that.
