Has the Government ever lost a job?
Being someone who never trusts the Left, it’s quite possible they are deliberately lowering expectations so they will claim job losses “unexpectedly” failed to increase as much as “expected” when the jobs numbers come in at better (less) then 100,000 jobs lost.
That said, how lame is it to claim jobs were LOST because of bad weather? Miss a day maybe, but lose your job? I never heard of anything like that in my life.

Exactly! the other thing is it didn’t snow every day in February. It also didn’t knock out the phones or the internet. People could still conduct phone interviews and get their resumes in front of prospective employers. The real problem is that there are very few prospective employers. Particularly in any manufacturing businesses.
Producers are panic stricken that they will spend $20 or $320 k to hire a new employee only to find that the government mandates on Health Care and extra taxes will cause them to lay off the new hires.

There is a lot of speculative sugar coating in the article. What it boils down to (once the speculation is removed) is it would have been a lot worse if the Census Bureau had not hired 30,000 workers.
I hope so, but I foresee the Democrats passing an Immigration Bill this summer. Then they get another 10-20 million voters to vote Democrat.
