I sure did not know about the “Freedom Rally” that is held in Tallahassee every year during the legislative session with a rally at the Capitol. Please be sure to post info about it on our FR FL Forum so folks will know about it.

Since the “Tea Party Movement” has generated so many patriot gathering events, the name “Freedom” is used often. The rally in Deland on 2/27 & 2/28 at the Volusia County Fairgrounds was called “Freedom Rally For America”. My hubby and I went over from St. Pete to Orlando on the 26th to Freep Barney Frank and Grayson Friday evening, then went on to Deland to attend the rally. We wanted to see Allen West and Dan Fanelli again and joined other Freeper friends for the weekend. The “Bike Week” in Deland started on Sunday 2/28. That is why Bike Week was mentioned as it was just starting there in Volusia County.

Please keep us posted on any events in Florida that you hear about and I hope other Florida Freepers will do the same. We need to meet and hear the candidates running throughout Florida and give them our support against the Socialists! Let's make Florida a solid constitutional conservative state!

There must be more publicity about these candidates and where they’re speaking. Does the Tea Party movement have any way for that to be done? Perhaps, Fox News or PJTV could be notified so candidates like Col. West could be highlighted.

Hi Friend,
Allen West has been on FOX and we were delighted that he also got to speak at CPAC which gave him more exposure. We are sure us Floridians will sent Allen to Congress in place of Ron Klein from FL District 22.

Dan Fanelli from FL District 8 still has to face other candidates in the Republican Primary in August. Through our vetting, my friends and I believe Dan Fanelli is the candidate to support in any way we can. Hubby and I can not vote for Dan or Allen from our district 10, but we sure are doing everything we can to get them elected!

So we are supporting the candidates listed in my post #16 and the next “Special Election” coming up is April 13th for Ed Lynch from FL District 19. This election will make national coverage as it is a “special election” for Wexler’s vacated seat.

You are right that good constitutional conservative candidates across the country need our support in any way we can. Through spreading the word about them and making donations to their campaigns.

I will add that another good reason to vote for Allen West and Dan Fanelli is that they are Veterans! :)

Hope you all start getting some Spring weather soon! If hubby and I make it up to DC for April 15th we need you to order some weather without those “white pearly dewdrops”! We will come prepared with our thermals! :)

You’re right about that. My understanding is that the officially registered “Florida Tea Party” is a plant started by a lifelong Dem lawyer and that is also has a connection to Doug Gueztloe (sp?). Liked their logo, though!

If I’m not mistaken, the press release notice is free but then the media has to search for it. The one that is sent out to the media costs money.

The candidates also should be alerting the media but as biased as they are, they’ll ignore our good candidates no matter how much notice is put out.

Today is still chilly but Saturday will be in the low 50s. Hopefully a lot of melting will happen.

Hope the melting of snow is slow to avoid flooding. Glad it will soon be Spring!
