“I live in Texas. Most legal Hispanics, even those who have come here lately are not in favor of illegals, as they drain the legal Hispanics dry just like the rest of us,”

That’s the worst of this entire mess. The legal, long time American Hispanics suffer the most of any of us. They’re damned if they do, damned if they don’t.

Zogby Finds Wide Support for Enforcement, Lower legal entry Numbers - Feb. 25, 2010

The overall findings of this poll show a significant divide between the perception that minority voters want legalization and increased legal immigration and the reality, which is that they want enforcement and less immigration

In contrast to the leadership of many ethnic advocacy groups, most members of minority groups think immigration is too high.

* Hispanics: 56 percent said it is too high; 7 percent said too low; 14 percent just right. * Asian-Americans: 57 percent said immigration is too high; 5 percent said too low; 18 percent just right. * African-Americans: 68 percent said it is too high; 4 percent said too low; 14 percent just right.

Most members of minority groups do not feel that illegal immigration is caused by limits on legal immigration as many ethnic advocacy groups argue; instead, members feel it’s due to a lack of enforcement.

* Hispanics: Just 20 percent said illegal immigration was caused by not letting in enough legal immigrants; 61 percent said inadequate enforcement. * Asian-Americans: 19 percent said not enough legal immigration; 69 percent said inadequate enforcement. * African-Americans: 16 percent said not enough legal immigration; 70 percent said inadequate enforcement.

Most members of minority groups feel that there are plenty of Americans available to fill unskilled jobs.

“In contrast to the leadership of many ethnic advocacy groups, most members of minority groups think immigration is too high.”

“immigration is caused by limits on legal immigration as many ethnic advocacy groups argue; instead, members feel it’s due to a lack of enforcement.”[snips]

The McCain wing of the party consists of himself and his mom.

I still have no idea how that RINO became our candidate.

If only... don't forget Senator Gramnesty.

I still have no idea how that RINO became our candidate.

When the GOP primary came to New Hampshire the previously reliable conservative paper, the Manchester Union Leader endorsed McCain. I don't think there ever was any chance for any of the other candidates by that time except for perhaps Romney (sorry Fred, forget it Huckabee). When McCain won in NH he came back from the dead. The when he got Crist's endorsement in Florida, Romney saw the writing on the wall and dropped out for the sake of party unity which of course in retrospect did no good any way.

If this is brought up, it will absolutely kill Juan McAmnesty. On the one hand, he'll be dying to jump all over it to take credit for another amnesty push. On the other hand, he knows if he were to do so, J. D. Hayworth will gain at least 25 points on him.

McAmnesty may finally have to be put in that straight jacket we have expected him to be carried away in for so long.

Yes, Obummer, bring up your amnesty proposal. Shoot yourself in the other foot. Before the November elections please, and, better yet, before the August primaries.

It had better be before the August primaries and JD better be hammering starting NOW on the LEADING role McCain played in pimping Amnesty on the last attempt. IIRC Rasmussen had a poll that showed that only 31% of Republicans knew that McCain was one of the "Wizards of the Universe" running that Amnesty attempt.

The problem is twofold:

1) If McCain lies through his sh*t stained teeth pretending to be against Comprehensive Immigration Reform, he may fool almost 70% of Republicans and possibly win the primary. Then there is nothing to stop him from turning right around, making a few lame excuses and reverting right back to his Soros sponsored Amnesty crap on August 25th.

2) If he loses the primary, he will be in a fury against the American/Arizonan citizens and may very well go out in a fiery finish helping to cram Amnesty through.

The second scenario is much better than the first because an August loss for the well established McCain may help to frighten enough other pro-Amnesty traitors into laying low and preventing passage. I hope.

My fear is that it will be crammed through BEFORE the November election and Obozo will then issue an executive order that PART of the newly passed bill will be enacted immediately and all the brand new citizens to be will be sworn in or maybe just "allowed" to vote because its about to be their country too... This would certainly negate any fears the traitorous bastards would have.

Zero's even mentioning immigration at this point has got to give McShame heartburn, because it will revive peoples’ memories about McShame’s previous amnesty pushes. Though Hayworth will be in a real deficit as far as matching McShame’s campaign cash, issues like this are red meat and will help Hayworth get the truth out about McShame.

I don't see, given current public opinion, how Zero could get an immigration bill through this year. He is enough of an ideologue to try. But the Dims are already facing a slaughter this November; an amnesty proposal would blow them off the map. Instead, I think Zero will try to use bureaucratic techniques to get what he wants (less border enforcement, no cooperation by federal agents with local police, no pressure on employers, etc.).

.

Obama took up the issue privately with his staff Monday in a bid to advance a bill through Congress before lawmakers become too distracted by approaching midterm elections.

Participants in the White House gathering also pointed to an immigration rally set for March 21 in Washington as a way to spotlight the issue and build needed momentum.

"Right now we have a little problem with the 'Chicken Little' mentality: The sky is falling and consequently we can't do anything," Rep. Raul M. Grijalva (D-Ariz.) said in an interview.

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) said in an interview, "The things you hear from the administration won't be well received."

Among proponents, there is a consensus that a proposal must move by April or early May to have a realistic chance of passing this year. If that deadline slips, Congress' focus is likely to shift to the November elections, making it impossible to take up major legislation.

When it comes to immigration, Obama's strategy echoes that of healthcare. He has deferred heavily to Congress, leaving it up to Schumer and Graham to reach a breakthrough with the idea that he would put his weight behind the resulting compromise.

Come again?

Obama's strategy echoes that of healthcare.

And that strategy is...?

"They've had enough of this yearlong effort to get a win for the Democratic Party at any price to the American people," McConnell said on the Senate floor.

At any price to the American People...

And if the price is determined by Little Bammy and the Øbots pushing the stupid button too many times thus actually putting a live spark to this fuel soaked tinderbox juuust full of pizzed off real American Citizens?

HA!

That it is “settled” and they best just mind their betters?

Yea. Uh-huh. Right. Gotcha.

Those very same American Citizens are NOT gonna let some effeminate punk commie from Chicago tell them they are all tax slaves that must support criminal illegal alien freeloaders.

They will go on the biggest "souvenir hunt" in the history of this entire planet. And after the recent reiteration by Napolitano that she was right about the little Homeland Insecurity Report calling nearly all American Citizens, SPECIFICALLY VETERANS, highly suspect potential "domestic terrorists" Little Bammy and the Øbots should not count on support from the bulk of the military if they find themselves "spending time indoors."

CWI will have been a schoolyard slapfight in comparison. The MSM, libs, commie-wanna-be's and pubLick skool dullards will try to stick with the commie-lib-MSM story that fault for the backlash belongs solely to evil conservative Republicans for such an event and "white" will be a word in the middle of their EVERY sentence.

And they will be mowed like three week old spring grass...

>They won’t. You and I pay for it. It can’t last. Most Border states are bankrupt. The only logical ideas are build the fence, arrest illegals and deport them, or the country won’t survive. Am I missing something here?

Well, yes. The solution is military & militia action. (That is the concerted & unified efforts of the armed civilian population and the armed forces.) Despite the Posse Comitatus Act, the militia IS authorized to enforce laws by the US Constitution: “To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;”

Multiple tens-of-millions of illegal immigrants sure sounds like an invasion to me.

Does to me too. So how do we get Washington, the military and militia to coordinate a response? . .

IIRC, it was specifically this issue that prompted Rep. Joe Wilson to yell “You Lie” when the Obamanation claimed that “illegals” would not be receiving govt health care benefits?

b/c in Obama’s way of thinking, as 10+ million “illegals” get legalized they are no longer “illegal” when Obambi & friends give them free health care.

The usual liberal dishonesty, say “oh we are not giving these benefits to ILLEGALS...... “ (whisper) “because first we’ll make sure we legalize all those illegals”

From a California school teacher - - -

“As you listen to the news about the student protests over illegal immigration, there are some things that you should be aware of:

I am in charge of the English-as-a-second-language department at a large southern California high school which is designated a Title 1 school, meaning that its student’s average lowers socioeconomic and income levels. Most of the schools you are hearing about, South Gate High, Bell Gardens, Huntington Park, etc., where these students are protesting, are also Title 1 schools.

Title 1 schools are on the free breakfast and free lunch program. When I say free breakfast, I’m not talking a glass of milk and roll - but a full breakfast and cereal bar with fruits and juices that would make a Marriott proud. The waste of this food is monumental, with trays and trays of it being dumped in the trash uneaten. (OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK)

I estimate that well over 50% of these students are obese or at least moderately overweight. About 75% or more DO have cell phones. The school also provides day care centers for the unwed teenage pregnant girls (some as young as 13) so they can attend class without the inconvenience of having to arrange for babysitters or having family watch their kids. (OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK)

I was ordered to spend $700,000 on my department or risk losing funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for anything; my budget was already substantial.. I ended up buying new computers for the computer learning center, half of which, one month later, have been carved with graffiti by the appreciative students who obviously feel humbled and grateful to have a free education in America. (OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK)

I have had to intervene several times for young and substitute teachers whose classes consist of many illegal immigrant students here in the country less then 3 months who raised so much hell with the female teachers, calling them “Putas” whores and throwing things that the teachers were in tears.

Free medical, free education, free food, day care etc., etc, etc. Is it any wonder they feel entitled to not only be in this country but to demand rights, privileges and entitlements?

To those who want to point out how much these illegal immigrants contribute to our society because they LIKE their gardener and housekeeper and they like to pay less for tomatoes: spend some time in the real world of illegal immigration and see the TRUE costs.

Higher insurance, medical facilities closing, higher medical costs, more crime, lower standards of education in our schools, overcrowding, new diseases etc., etc., etc. For me, I’ll pay more for tomatoes.

We need to wake up. The guest worker program will be a disaster because we won’t have the guts to enforce it. Does anyone in their right mind really think they will voluntarily leave and return?

There are many hardworking Hispanic/American citizens that contribute to our country and many that I consider my true friends. We should encourage and accept those Hispanics who have done it the right and legal way.

It does, however, have everything to do with culture: A third- world culture that does not value education, that accepts children getting pregnant and dropping out of school by 15 and that refuses to assimilate, and an American culture that has become so weak and worried about “politically correctness” that we don’t have the will to do anything about it.

If this makes your blood boil, as it did mine, forward this to everyone you know.

CHEAP LABOR? Isn’t that what the whole immigration issue is about?

Business doesn’t want to pay a decent wage.

Consumers don’t want expensive produce.

Government will tell you Americans don’t want the jobs.

But the bottom line is cheap labor. The phrase “cheap labor” is a myth, a farce, and a lie. There is no such thing as “cheap labor.”

Take, for example, an illegal alien with a wife and five children. He takes a job for $5.00 or $6.00/hour. At that wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year, if he files an Income Tax Return, he gets an “earned income credit” of up to $3,200 free.

He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent.

He qualifies for food stamps.

He qualifies for free (no deductible, no co-pay) health care.

His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school.

He requires bilingual teachers and books.

He qualifies for relief from high energy bills.

If they are or become, aged, blind or disabled, they qualify for SSI. Once qualified for SSI they can qualify for Medicare. All of this is at (our) taxpayer’s expense.

He doesn’t worry about car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners insurance.

Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins and printed material.

He and his family receive the equivalent of $20.00 to $30.00/hour in benefits.

Working Americans are lucky to have $5.00 or $6.00/hour left after paying their bills and his.

The American taxpayers also pay for increased crime, graffiti and trash clean-up.

Cheap labor? YEAH RIGHT! Wake up people.

Here are just some of the negative affects of illegal immigration:

>easy conduit for terrorists entering the USA
escalation in crime

>around 300,000 additional prisoners to support for years
increases Balkanization of US

>increases multiculturalism/segregation/divisiveness instead of the American melting pot

>increases desire for Aztlan (reclaiming SW states for Mexico)

>increasing number of traffic accidents
main contributor to surging US population

>increases impact on infrastructure, including education
destruction of fragile ecosystems in American SW

>main cause of emergency rooms and hospitals closing as well as service cut backs

>introduction of third world diseases
about 40% of illegal aliens are on welfare

>cost to US taxpayers is about $55,000 each, over and above
their tax contributions

This was on page 2 of the artlicle:

speaking as he walked quickly through the Capitol, said he was having trouble rounding up Republican supporters apart from Graham. "It's tough finding someone, but we're trying," Schumer said.

On Thursday, Schumer met with Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, who oversees the government's immigration efforts, to strategize over potential Republican co-sponsors.

Did I read that right? They are going to use Homeland security to pressure republicans on this bill.--Chicago thugs, this administration is so corrupt.

"Multiple tens-of-millions of illegal immigrants sure sounds like an invasion to me."

WHAT IS AN ARMY? (The invasion of the USA)

From The US Border Patrol,

http://www.usborderpatrol.com/Border_Patrol901_10.htm

What makes up an army? An army is made of men between the age of 15 and 35.

What comes across our border by the millions each year? Men between the ages of 15 and 35.

Afghan drug lords are now teamed with Mexican drug cartels to flood our cities with heroin. In Mexico, this Muslim Connnection to the drug cartels has brought beheadings to the streets of border towns. Many Mexican cities are now surrounded by Mexican Army troops and tanks — all to quel the violence. The city of Tijuana had its entire 3,000 man police force disarmed and replaced with Mexican Federal Troops.

What we have below are two images. One is of an enemy we fought tooth and claw for seventy years nearly bankrupting our country. The other we today invite across our border with welfare, free medical care, and more. The centers of many American cities are now controlled by MS-13 and others of the most violent gangs in America’s entire history. These gangs want to kill police and federal agents to rise in reputation among their own kind. Our prisons are now filled with a violent criminal class never seen before anywhere on earth.

In all of the 70 years of the Soviet Union — including the years of the proxy war of Vietnam.— they killed fewer Americans in total than Mexican Illegal Aliens do inside this country in a single year.

Thank you very much’
That survey was important and validated my perception which was only based on talking with real legal Hispanics here in Texas
You are right, htey are more damned if they do ( protest illegals ) than we are. But they know they are right.

We laugh because at least they don’t get called racist or xenphpobic like I do. They get called traitors
