Republicans held on to power for 12 years in part because in the 1995-96 session of Congress, they used it for purpose and the nation benefitted (unfortunately, Bill Clinton benefitted, too). But afterwards, they only used their position to feather their own political nests.

If Republicans regain Congress, will they learn from their past misakes?

The RINOs have no plan. They are ass hats. We need real conservatve leadership to get the job done. Otherwise the Republican party is kaput, finished, no more.
