Here is the best parallel I can think of. William Joyce,

aka Lord Haw-Haw, British. Hung for WWII treason.

From Here

"Gadahn grew up on a goat farm in Riverside County, California, and converted to Islam at a mosque in nearby Orange County.

He moved to Pakistan in 1998, according to the FBI, and is said to have attended an al-Qaida training camp six years later, serving as a translator and consultant. He has been wanted by the FBI since 2004, and there is a $1 million reward for information leading to his arrest or conviction.

The treason charge carries the death penalty if he is convicted. He was also charged with two counts of providing material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization."

We'll see. . .

This is SOLID evidence that the intelligence community has gone “rogue” in a GOOD way, probably using private money r funds allocated for covert purposes and deposited in placed out of reach of the White House.

There is NO WAY Obama is authorizing the arrest of high-level Muslims. I am sure he is very steamed about this, but has to PRETEND to be happy about it!

Now wouldn't that be something! An underground good ole' boys get er' done network financing this and The One is steaming in the Oval Office. Two points for the good guys!

If this is Gadhan, an American citizen, he SHOULD be immediately read his Miranda rights, afforded all due process a citizen deserves, tried for treason, and, after due process, executed as the scum he is.

He should be afforded every Constitutional benefit of being a citizen of the United States.

I believe that this Administration is insane in its stance that non-citizen enemy combatants be treated as citizens and/or afforded Constitutional rights. They have none, and there IS no slippery slope on this account.

To be consistent with this point, citizens DO have and must be accorded such rights. Even for terrorist scumbags, being a US citizen must mean something. We do have due process to deal with traitor citizens that must be separate and distinct from what we accord to non-citizens.

It’s outrageous that this Administration wants to treat non-citizen enemy combatants with all the rights due to citizens. There must be a distinction.

That distinction must hold from either direction.

Some unconfirmed details reported by various news organizations:

Adam Gadhan was arrested “several” days ago.

Adam Gadhan was arrested in a pick-up truck with a driver and possibly another accomplice.

That it was a joint US Pak operation

That a witness reported they saw a man with a bag over his head detained by Pak security officers.

“Al-Qaeda commander Abu Yahya arrested in Karachi (American born top 10 on CIA list)”

Is he NOT an enemy combatant because he was born here?
