I have to say I agree with what you said in your post. Sarah’s endorsement of Mac is obvious for all the reasons mentioned already. There is on component that has not been mentioned so much and it’s access to big money donors. If Sarah does make the decision to run in ‘12 a commitment from big money donors will be just as important as the grass roots small donors. Sarah needs BOTH. Mittens has big money donors but not small money donors and that is a problem for him.

“I plan to see her the very next day in Searchlight, NV to kick off the kick out Harry Reid Tea Party rally.”

So, will the real Sarah Palin, please stand up? She’s being dishonest with them or with us? Frankly, either one is bad...I wouldn’t want her anywhere near a Tea Party...she might bring McCain with her. This is why politicians were not suppose to be included.

Thanks, but no thanks....if your scenario panned out....I wouldn’t want a possible Palin, POTUS to continue to be obligated in ANY WAY, to ANY THING, John McCain.

I’m beginning to think that Sarah is a good talker who’s all about Sarah.

Bingo.

Your tag line is a dead give away SO I really don’t care what you say. You have never supported Gov. Palin. I DO. I also understand the dynamics of presidential politics. This is the only response you will get from me because I will not play your game. Your game is a Cartesian circle whenever Gov. Palin is discussed. Save it for the Rubber Room Crowd.

I appreciate the thoughtful response. I disagree a bit about the money factor, however. I don’t believe Palin will ever get significant donations from the big money GOP establishment types, and I believe she’s fully aware of it.

The GOP establishment is going to do all it can to destroy her and anoint another one of their own, whether Romney or whoever. I believe her strategy is to simply take away part of their ammunition which could be used to attack her later.

Once she has demonstrated her loyalty and determination to honor her word and commitments they will have a much more difficult time attacking her, and will appear petty and dishonorable themselves if they do. It’s all about the concept of “positioning”.

“You are cordially invited to a reception and dinner with Governor Sarah Palin in support of the re-election of U.S. Senator John McCain on Friday, March 26th.”

Has she actually endorsed him? She’s walking a weird tight rope...And the McCainiacs are soaking her for all she’s worth...I wish she’d have just decided to wait and supported whoever emerged against the RAT...that would have been way easier than this tortured walk..

I don't think Hayworth is quite the perfect conservative that some make him out to be.

LOL, and Palin is the perfect conservative????

theanchoragedailyruse, remember when she was campaigning for gov up here and all the 'reach across the aisle' talk? She sounded just like McCain!

Remember the ACES tax hike and how great its been for the AK economy?

Yeah, she's the perfect conservative... My friend, if she is elected as president, a lot of people here will be singing a different tune if she follows the same path she did as governor.

Stop looking at what she has actually done, and start listening to what she says....talk is more important, yes?

The article was saying ...

You are cordially invited to a reception and dinner with Governor Sarah Palin in support of the re-election of U.S. Senator John McCain on Friday, March 26th.

The idea here for Sarah Palin, in the coming months (and perhaps years), until she makes a move for some political office, is to be seen a lot, by the public, in all sorts of venues and in GOP events and be seen as active in the GOP. This will build her stature in the public's eyes, over a period of time, for her to gain a wide acceptance, in order to have a good chance at winnning an election.

It will be when she wins an election and gets into office that we'll see her previously stated and known values and principles put into action by her own hand, instead of merely giving political support to various GOP candidates, over these coming months.

You were saying ...

All of that group will clap for her but despise her under breath because she is not beloved or liked by the inside the beltway or country club types in the party, no one can say that she is with an honest face because that would be a lie.

The GOP needs Palin and needs a populist candidate to invigorate the elections for the GOP. And by getting Palin in office, it will encourage more like Palin. The Tea Partiers love Palin and the GOP certainly needs the Tea Partiers, if they expect to go anywhere.

Likewise, the Tea Partiers need the political machinery of the GOP if it expects to get anywhere against the Democrats. Otherwise, the Tea Partiers will be a "voice in the wilderness" while the Democrats "clean house" all the while.

It will take a "combined effort" in order to keep defeating Democrats.

You were saying ...

She’s tasted the limelight, and she likes being a CINO at this point.

Some of y'all are pretty funny... calling Sarah Palin (as has been done) a RINO and here a CINO... LOL ...

If some of y'all got together and decided to have a party to kill off all the cadidates you didn't like and wasn't "pure" according to your various tests... you would put all the candidates in a group in the middle of a circle y'all would form around these candidates and you would shoot all of them.... of course killing off yourselves in the process of killing off all the candidates.

The Democrats are laughing on the sidelines here... LOL...

Fortunately not all of us are stupid like that... :-)

McCain’s running for president again 2012!

Oh that will be fun, he already looks like a cadaver. Did you see him on Greta the other night? I swear he looked just like an unwrapped mummy.

I strongly doubt there will be many waitresses, secretaries, plumbers, or Wal-Mart cashiers there. If you hadn't posted this on FR, probably only a few dozen or so people would even know about the fund raiser.

OMG, I just figured out Sarah's strategy. She's using McCain's campaign to drain money away from the RINO coffers, and the old geezer will likely lose or croak either way. Just brilliant.

“DeMint has endorsed Rubio in the Florida GOP primary. “

Good!

Rubio is the antithesis of a John McCain.

We are one seat away form Obamacare and all conservatives can think about is how to cause infighting. Cutting off your nose to spite your face is a poor strategy.

Yes it is and that's why Sarah should have stayed out of it.

Now, I backed Sarah from BEFORE she was picked as McCain's running mate, you can go back on this board and you will see that. I am becoming more and more disappointed as she continues to not only campaign for him but fund raise as well. Why does McCain have $22 million left in his presidential campaign chest? Why does he have $5 million in his senatorial account and still need Sarah to fund raise for him? I don't like what she is doing, I think it shows poor judgement (and don't give me that "she owes him" crap, he owes HER) I am trying desperately to hang on to my support for her but I find it slipping more and more each day.
