Anyone 50 or under who thinks they will ever see a dime of SSI is living in a dream world.

SSI is a big zero in my retirement plans.

They should cut their losses. Just say “sorry, we were wrong — that was a tax not an enforced savings plan” and just stop it. End the program and end the deduction.

Just once I would love to see a politician tell the truth. That America is broke, that Congress over the past 70 years spend the money that was supposed to be for social security and Medicare and that starting next month there will be no more welfare or foodstamps.
