After the 2006 election of Sherod Brown the unemployment rate in Ohio was 5.9% December 2006. He ran on the ‘Jobs, jobs, jobs’ platform.
Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?

Ha Ha. At the top of the hour, AP radio announced ‘good news’ in the monthly state job reports. Pravda ain’t got nothing on the MSM.

And I am sure the umemplyment will go down now when the next faked government report comes out.
To: Kartographer
but yet the Bozo administration says the unemployment rate is only 9.7, down from 10.1 last Nov. I keep trying to understand how jobs keep disappearing but the unemployment rate goes down a little. Strange math that these dimwits use.

“For example, California reported the largest job gains, of 32,500, though its unemployment rate also rose. “
Uh...I don’t get it. Let’s celebrate job gains...too bad it’s not enough to offset job loses?

At what point during the constant lies and deceit does someone blow his brains out....OR take decisive action that makes a difference?
These a$$holes must go.

Well, today is my first day without a job in abou 20 years or so. I was let go yesterday evening. I’ve worked as an engineer in the Petrochemical industry and it is dead.,,,nada, nothing happening. They’re all in fear of being next on the list for nationalization. Things are not so good in the oil patch these days. It was too wet to work outside so I did the laundry, dishes, made the bed, etc. etc. to help the wife out. I did start some garden seeds inside today for the garden. Next on the list to do this afternoon , is some .45 work at the reloading bench.
However, there are two really good, cool things with this situation though: I get to listen to ALL of Rush’s program...never had that ability before AND, AND.......The Odongo Beast ain’t gonna get one little red cent in income tax today from me since there is absolutely no income....Yea!!!!

Yeah, when I started out a career in insurance 20 years ago, it seemed like a good solid career choice. Not so much lately.

I wonder...
Has anybody done a study to take the state by state unemployment rates and then compute the average rate for all the states together? Of course, population density would have to be considered in the computations. I wonder if there would be any significant difference between the average of all the states and that of the federal average.

For example, California reported the largest job gains, of 32,500 Yes, but I just read, "California is doomed," article #734.
Hell if were doomed, everyone else is already dead.
