AZ-Sen. 2010: Jeb finally endorses ... in Arizona (McCain "a proven conservative leader")
The Hill, Washington, DC ^ | 2010-03-10 | Aaron Blake

Jeb Bush is finally endorsing in the big GOP primary, but it's not the primary we've been waiting for.

Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) reelection campaign announced Wednesday that Bush will back him over former Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-Ariz.).

We'll continue to wait and see whether Bush feels the need to weigh into the GOP primary in his home state. At this point, though, he'd really just be piling on by endorsing Marco Rubio over Charlie Crist.

Here's Bush's statement: "As we continue to face tough challenges both at home and abroad, America needs leaders like Senator John McCain in the United States Senate. John has devoted his life to service and sacrifice for our nation, and demonstrated time and again that he is beholden to no interest other than what is best for America. John is a proven conservative leader committed to reducing taxes, fighting wasteful spending and keeping America safe. We need John’s continued leadership in the United States Senate, and I am proud to support him.”

Jeb, I know you, you are part of that ‘Reagan era is over’ team with Newt and Mitt!

GO JD - with your win, you’ll be knocking these RINO’s out, also!

Did Jeb Bush have a debt to repay McCain? Is he a national figure because of McCain?

Well, the country club insiders all endorsed Kay Bailey Hutchison for Texas Governor and that only helped Rick Perry.

It’s making me start to wonder what McCain has on all these guys, including Kyl.

The Republican Party called for a donation earlier.

I said no.

They asked what party affiliation I claimed, Republican, Democrat, or Independent. I stated Conservative.

I told them they didn’t get it and I was done with them, until they did.

It seems that the wisdom here is that it is better to have a long tenured member with influence in the Senate than a freshman.

This is why things never change in DC.

Oh, we'll bash them both. That said, McCain didn't put Jeb on the map. He's not doing it cause he owes McCain a favor, he's doing it cause he's a RINO.

Jeb who?

He's the potted plant who ran Florida during a few hurricanes as memory serves.

IOW, no one of consequence.

The GOP establishment is circling the wagons for McCain for a variety of reasons.

Some actually support him.

Others see McCain’s impending defeat as a threat to them.

If McCain can be removed at the ballot box, then so can they.

If McCain can be removed at the ballot box, then NO incumbent is safe.

If the GOP establishment can not co-opt the Tea Partiers, they will turn against them.

As for the Democrat Party, their motives are already abundantly clear.

Ask Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison how well all the endorsments from establishment types are working this year!

The RINO establishment endorsements didn’t help KBH, and they won’t help J”M”M.

It's true that a legislator with more experience and tenure is a Good Thing, as long as he's pulling in the right direction. Once he can't figure out which way is up any longer, it's time to train a newbie.

I received a phone call earlier today from some group doing polling about my likelihood of voting for McCain in the Arizona Primary. I told the lady on the phone that I'd rather shovel birds*** out of a cuckoo clock than vote for McCain. When she asked my “how likely am I to vote in the Primary” I told her that I'll be there for sure. She was pretty startled by my input and quickly said thank you and hung up!

I suspect there’s a lot more to the Abramoff scandal that will never see the light of day thanks to McCain sandbagging the senate hearings to protect his colleagues.

Juan is proven, alright
Just not as a conservative

and except for the “GOP Leader” title bestowed on him by the lamestream media he’s not a leader either. Since the president campaign Juan has constantly been searching for
“his” people- so he can rush forwrad and claim to be leading them

Anyone seen Juan at a Tea Party?

Have you been sleeping? Sarah absolutely has been bashed for supporting McCain. It’s on the down low around these parts now, as the owner of the site doesn’t favor Sarah bashing.
