The political team that helped Scott Brown stage his improbable victory in the Massachusetts Senate race wants to apply its winning strategy elsewhere this election year. First stop: Rhode Island.

The Shawmut Group, led by aides to former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, is helping GOP congressional candidate John Loughlin, who's campaigning to replace retiring Rep. Patrick Kennedy, D-R.I.

The Shawmut Group also is working with New York gubernatorial candidate Rick Lazio, Long Island congressional candidate George Demos and Massachusetts state auditor candidate Mary Connaughton.

You can't argue with success. It's high time Republicans focus on winning strategies. If they don't win, they can have no impact on the direction of the country.

And he very likely would have said only a moron would apply that to things that matter.

Actually, the Scott Brown strategy would work well in the Northeast, where even liberals are upset at the Marxist thugs now running the country. He would fly down south, though.

He seems to have forgotten how much help tea partiers gave him. Lets see how well he does without us.

Their strategy might work very well up here in the Northeast.

The story behind the story.

Romney raised huge amounts of money by pimping Scott Brown’s campaign.
But Mitt RomneyCARE kept the money for HIMSELF.

Where is the accountability?

1) “Generous” billionaire Mitt gave Brown only $4500 of the money he raised.

2) After the pimping was over, McCain had actually given more. ROTFLOL.

“Romney had $1.1 million left in the bank.
He contributed $4,500 [0.4% of other peoples’ money ] to Republican Scott Brown,
who was elected US senator from Massachusetts on Jan. 19.
McCain topped Romney’s donation to Brown’s campaign,
chipping in $5,000 from his PAC,
according to the commission. -- BLOOMBERG NEWS”

Winning strategy??

The last time I heard that phrase, it was followed by middle class America crashing and burning, while the super rich were given billion dollar bonuses.

This is NOT about Romney or McCain.

It’s about Republicans taking back Congress from Democrats. Scott Brown IS a Republican and won the seat held by Kennedy in liberal MA. Applying the same strategy may help Republicans win in other liberal states. Do you have an objection to that?

Oh give it a rest.

It was a stupendous turnaround for MA-——maybe not perfect, but incredible nonetheless.

SmartInsight: "This is NOT about Romney or McCain."

Apparently it is.

The article begins:

"(Romney) Brown team to apply winning strategy elsewhere
The Shawmut Group, led by aides to former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney,
is helping GOP congressional ..."

So when the fact that money reportedly taken by Romney
for Brown might not have actually all been given to Brown [Bloomberg]
is brought up, who gets bothered? Hmmmmmmmmm.

Stupendous for America. Nothing is perfect.
