ST. CHARLES, Mo. (Associated Press) -- Democrats claimed momentum Wednesday in their drive to enact the sweeping health care legislation sought by President Barack Obama, citing near agreement on crucial issues despite persistent Republican efforts to knock them off stride.
Obama himself, rallying support outside Washington for the second time this week, shouted to a crowd in Missouri, "The time for talk is over. It's time to vote."

“The health care reform bill passed by the Senate on Christmas Eve appears to be dead on arrival in the House, as seven anti-abortion Democrats intend to join the ranks of lawmakers who plan to vote against the legislation, Fox News has confirmed.”
Since all you need to be able to do in politics is count—votes and payola—the brass hat `rats must be planning some sort of concession on the Stupak amendment (subject to future amendment), under-the-table deals a la Ben Nelson, and voila: the camel’s in the tent.
While they're at it, maybe they could also stick in immigration and the war in Iraq--oh, and canceling the 2010 elections.

March 18 was a fake-out. He knows his only chance of passing it is literally tonight or tomorrow.
Next week the US Chamber of Commerce and a number of large companies are beginning a media campaign against the bill. If they believed they had until March 18, they were fools. Look for tonight or tomorrow or maybe, at the latest, Friday.
