Another Look At FoxNews' Hatchet Job On Geert Wilders
David Horowitz's NewsRealBlog.com ^ | March11, 2010 | John L. Work

Posted on 03/11/2010 6:53:37 AM PST by JLWORK

Following the gang hatchet job on Dutch Parliamentarian Geert Wilders by two separate FoxNews crews a few nights ago, Fox pulled down all the video footage from the internet – like it never happened. Well, it did happen. Jim Angle, Glenn Beck, Bill Kristol, Charles Krauthammer and A.B Stoddard all did the dirty work during two different shows. But, thanks to Gates of Vienna and Diana West we can at least watch Glenn Beck going at Wilders one more time.

First, let’s look at Glenn Beck’s six minute interview with Wilders from February of 2009. Beck warmly welcomed Wilders and gave him plenty of air-time. Wilders presented his case for the noble cause of resistance to the growing Islamic repression of free speech in The Netherlands. Beck treated Wilders like the hero he is. Ladies and gentlemen, a year later it is impossible to reconcile Beck’s posture and position in 2009 with his attack on Wilders this week – unless one allows for the possibility that Beck is now being influenced by powers above him at FoxNews.

The 2009 Wilders interview is here.

Now for this week’s piece, in which Beck labeled Wilders a fascist.

re: Beck is all about what makes money for Beck

Indeed he is. IMHO, he’s a cannon loose on deck. I seldom watch his TV show and listen to his radio program as long as I agree with what he’s covering. If I limited my listening and viewing to those with whom I agree 100 percent of the time I would have precious little to hear or watch. I just take what I like about them and ignore the rest.

I’m pretty much the same way with political candidates. I seldom find one with whom I can agree totally, so just figure out which one I agree with most often and go with that. Politics and those who practice it are the scourge of the modern world. A necessary evil. No way to avoid them. So to save myself a lot of mental anguish I just take the good from the best and leave the rest. Goodness knows I am unhappy with Sarah P. supporting John McCain, but there is so much more I love about her that I consider her to be my man. It could change. She could make series of moves that bother me and I would change my mind, or someone else could come along that meets more of my personal quirks and he or she would become my new man.

It’s long, long time until the 2012 presidential contest. A lot can change in that time. I don’t want to have to embarrass myself by having to back down from a position that turns out not to suit me in the end.

Double BUMP for Wilders

Perhaps the Kraut. AND Glenn Beck ( who is calling Wilders a fascist ) ought to spend a few months over in the Netherlands and Belgium as I have.
The Muslims just do not assimilate, but they sure do procreate. Interestingly, the Jews also live apart in their quarters (ghettos).
According to a Nixon center report - fully a quarter of jihadists are western European nationals who can travel visa-free to the U.S.
Wilders is doing us a favor.
And I’m really ticked off at Glenn Beck for slandering Wilders. Wilders is facing hate speech charges from The Hague and has to travel with a bodyguard. Beck should relate to that.
By the way, I hate Hate Speech Tribunals.

He is the person who has come out strongly against radical Islam and made a film called “Fitna”. Google it and you will see why muslims hate him.

I don’t know whether Horowitz is endorsing this on his site, he may very well be.

I didn’t see Beck, but the attacks on Krauthammer are stupid.

I was totally high on Beck for quite some time, but lately he’s becoming completely insufferable.

I feel exactly the same way. I still watch his show religiously and even have all of the 2010 shows recorded, but I have been extremely disappointed with him lately.

To what extent are foreign interests (Arab) invested in Fox News?

I still don't understand Beck's turn about. Given the part of Holland Wilders is from and his up close and personal experience there with islamowhackjobs, we should all be paying attention to him. I think his is a natural response to his country's PC foolishness with respect to muslim immigration and all the problems that have resulted from it. Cause and effect.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Yes, it is possible to reconcile this. Look at how Beck at first ignored Obama’s eligibility and then, recently, utterly insulted and belittled them.

Character is **everything**! Beck has merely let the mask slip. He true character is showing through.

If tyranny ever comes to U.S., Beck and the rest of these so called conservatives will **willing** use their talents to propagandize and promote the oppression. They will spit shine the jack boots crushing our necks.

When Beck cries over the Constitution remember he is an actor.

Saudis own a large share in Fox.
The prince who offered money to Guiliani after 911, who refused, later bought a large stake in Fox....it deliberately colors their reporting of Arab Muslim terrorism from the top down.

Jerry Doyle interviewed a woman who wrote about it.
They made “Muslim riots” in France become just “youth riots”.

Beck did NOT "label Wilders a fascist". If you have been watching Glenn for weeks now, he is focused on the European paradigm of "left = Communist" and "right = Fascist", when his whole thesis is that they are just two flavors of Progressivism, that the Nazis were progressives and and that the right is NOT progressive. It isn't really clear what he is trying to say in that clip, but it is certainly not en0ugh to claim he is directly labeling Wilders a fascist.

Glenn has had a very rough week. Let's let him explain it for himself today and tomorrow.

Wilders states that the Quran comamnds Muslims to impose Islam on the whole world. That is happening before our eyes, and is a larger reality than most people realize. Check out this eye opening link:

YOU CAN ACT LIKE A MAN! What's the matter with you? Is this what you've become, a Main Stream Media finocchio who cries like a woman? "Oh, what do I do? What do I do?" What is that nonsense? Ridiculous!

Geert Wilders Wilders and his family have constant security concerns with bodyguards, undisclosed movements, etc. All this is necessary because he is a brave man who is willing to state the truth about Mohammedan ways. He deserves our support and respect against the politically correct courts that persecute/prosecute him and the ROPers who threaten to murder him.

glenn and the others would not have slandered Mr. Wilders if they weren't currently the tame harem eunuchs of a saudi royal pig.

When ailes sold stock to that goat rutting mohammedan, he sold out the entire shop.

And with that act of submission, the last marginally trustworthy news outlet has throw away the final shreds of credibility and objectivity it could lay claim to. fox's hard work has paid off too, they are barely distinguishable from those feral dogs on msnbc.

Someone posted a day or so ago that it was 7% arab owned now.

Question is.. What other country in the world will allow substantial foreign investment in and control of major news outlets or farm land?

I don’t know of any other.

The guy is all over the damn place.

You're right, figuratively and literally. I can't stand to listen to his show because he can never make a point without throwing in 15 inconsequential tangents. He'll be talking about global warming one minute and then 10 seconds later he's having a debate with his partners about how much ice cream he should eat at night and whether or not he's getting fat. The guy drives me crazy.

Krauthammer, Kristol and Stoddard took direct, ignorant shots at Wilders. Remember that Kristol was partnered with Wolfowitz on the whole stupid "winning Muslim hearts and minds" bullshit which delayed our victory in Iraq.

Glenn is clearly referring to larger trends. He did not directly call Wilders anything.

Apparently Fox's co-master, has sent the word to one and all. Stop telling the truth about Islam or get fired.

I think this is the bottom line. When you have a major Saudi shareholder, you can't talk negatively of Islam.

It isn't just the Wilders cse either, I've noticed they tiptoe around anything related to Islam in the past 8 months or so.
