you Easterners miss out on some of the more interesting goings on ... a bit west of the Allegheny’s. see #82.

Of course, this is a great candidate in a dreadful district that is over 400 miles across. I hope Mullins has a good attitude cuz he’s gonna need it.

Not me. I follow NM politics daily, since I have family links there, my father grew up there, my grandparents are buried in Santa Fe. My uncle’s ancestor, William Mills, was the last territorial Governor (and previously as a judge, infamously sentenced the outlaw Black Jack Ketchum to death).

Interesting, I was unaware of this convention process in New Mexico.

The focus of this thread is this Paulbot? guy doing so poorly. We’re unlikely to win that seat. Bill Redmond won that seat in a special election when Bill Richardson resigned it, due to a huge green vote. He lost in 1998 while getting a slightly larger percent of the vote then he did in the special. He got around 43% both times which is the best the GOP has ever done there.

The biggest news out of this convention was Pete Domincici Jr. doing so very poorly in the Governor’s race. Susana Martinez has established herself of the frontrunner for the GOP nod.
