As Health Vote Awaits, Future of a Presidency Waits, Too(Caption the Illustration)

SENATOR Mitch McConnell, the Republican leader, had a little political advice last week for Barack Obama." President Obama and the Democrats: Don’t pass the president’s health care legislation because you would risk losing in the midterm elections.

Mr. Obama laughed about it afterward. “I generally wouldn’t take advice about what’s good for Democrats” from Mr. McConnell, he told an audience in Pennsylvania. But he conceded that “that’s what members of Congress are hearing right now on the cable shows and in sort of the gossip columns in Washington.” He went on to argue that the issue should be what’s right, not the politics.

But this is Washington and politics are never far from the surface, especially at a decisive moment like this. If the schedule being mapped last week holds – and Mr. Obama’s senior adviser, David Axelrod, said on Sunday that it would -- the fate of the president’s health care plan should be decided within the week. “I believe we will have” the votes, Mr. Axelrod said on ABC’s “This Week,” though Republicans and even some Democrats have questioned whether the votes are there now.

But the plan’s fate could depend on how a couple dozen Democratic congressmen answer the questions Mr. McConnell and Mr. Obama raised: Would passing health care devastate Democratic chances in the fall? Would rejecting it devastate a Democratic presidency?

Wow, why didn’t the photographer just put him ON the cross with blood coming out of his hands and feet. That might have been a little more subtle.

That’s what this is all about. The survival of a communist president. It has nothing to do with “healthcare reform”. This is communism’s last stand in America and the commie ‘RATS know it.

I like the Swiss Flag in the background. It is reminiscent of his overall plan to turn us into a European socialist country. It is also reminiscent of the Swiss Army knife. Something he can use to stab democrats who ultimate vote for the hc bill in the back.

Defeat Obamacare call list: List now contains the new MAYBES culled from FR posts.

KEEP THE CALLS UP! DC OFFICE LOCAL OFFICE

Code Red” - House Target List on Health Care

The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obama’s announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the “fixer” bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.

Congressional Dems on Twitter

And here are toll-free numbers we can use to call any Senators or Reps.

At the first number below you must wait through a tape recording urging you to tell your Rep or Senator to vote “yes” for the health care bill. Just hang on and when the recording is over, you will get the Capitol operator. Just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Then you will either talk to an aid or have the chance to leave a message for him/her to vote NO on the health care bill.

When you use the second number and the Capitol operator comes on, just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Every time I use this number I get the Rep or Senator’s answer machine, so it may be set up that way all the time...to go to their answer machine. Either way you can leave a message to vote NO on the health care bill!

We need to use these toll free numbers that have been set up for the health care/ BO supporters and illegals to use! After all they are FREE!

The Illustration from the nyt is interesting.

For the first time since the yellow journalism of a century ago, the United States has a major news organization devoted to the promotion of one political party.

Its news operation can, in fact, be called many things, but reporters of my generation, with memories and keyboards, dare not call it journalism. -Howell Raines

That is a truly bizarre picture. Obviously they still worship him. They would NEVER put up a cross for Jesus in the New York Times, but evidently they’re willing to do it for Holy Hussein.

The caption reads: “Illustration by Nola Lopez, photograph by Damon Winter.” So, they took a photograph and turned it into an “illustration.” Not photoshopped, but artified. I wonder if the National Foundation for the Arts will pay her this? I’d be curious to see if she comes up with an award from them.

Here’s her web page:

I guess the photographer thinks not showing Zero’s face is more favorable. They’re now going one step removed and trying to elicit support with the de-personalized Messiah ploy. In any other book, this is called desperation.

Would rejecting it devastate a Democratic presidency?

Let me get out my editor's red pen:

"Rejecting it would result in devastating a Marxist/Muslim presidency."

Vital to saving our country.

Question: Can America survive a conflicted man who fights within himself over his heritage, who's childhoods roots are Islam in a foreign land, who's mentor's were Islam/Marxist/American haters, who suffers from narcissism?

That is a toxic mix. Pray for our country.

Send this John Adams quotation to your Congressmen and Senators, along with the question:

"Do you save the President, or do you save "the People's" liberty?"

"Found in: John Adams, The Works of John Adams, vol. 4 (Novanglus, Thoughts on Government, Defence of the Constitution) - NO. III. - paragraph 144

"Obsta principiis (translation: resist the beginnings), nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers, and destroyers press upon them so fast, that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon the American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour. The revenue creates pensioners, and the pensioners urge for more revenue. The people grow less steady, spirited, and virtuous, the seekers more numerous and more corrupt, and every day increases the circles of their dependents and expectants, until virtue, integrity, public spirit, simplicity, and frugality, become the objects of ridicule and scorn, and vanity, luxury, foppery, selfishness, meanness, and downright venality swallow up the whole society."

John Adams words castigate the "arbitrary power" holders in Washington today who have gained their offices by promises to "redistribute" the earnings of hard-working citizens, thereby encouraging dependency among the citizenry, and a certain path to tyranny by those who hold the reins of power in government.
