Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is grateful that actor Sean Penn has defended him against his critics within the U.S. media.

In an appearance on HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher" last week, Penn slammed Chavez critics who refer to the socialist leader as a dictator.

No, he needs to MAN up and move to Venezuela. Put your pampered, wealthy CHILDREN where your mouth is, Sean!

When FR stops talking about Sean Penn and Kathy Griffin, they will disappear from the news, much like the Dixie Chicks did...

if only bush would do half the stuff that chavez does. Chavez’s attack on civil liberty and freedom of speech is much worst than anything bush has done

Yeah, but he does new movies and then talks out of his ass.

the traitor-chix kept repeating their last album over and over and and went against their core constituency — C&W folk who love the USA.

IMHO there is a big difference and, sadly “indifference is the opposite of love” won’t work for “rainbow rivers in Iraq” penn.

You nailed it!

People like Penn shouldn't be allowed to bring their garbage here. Americans don't want to hear it. If Penn wants to live the commie lifestyle, I'm pretty sure his buddy Hugo can fix him up.

To me, it’s understandable that Sean Penn and Hugo Chavez would defend each other. I think it’s because they’re both active homosexuals.

Myself, as producer in the tv industry, there’s little worse that can happen to a young actor than to become famous and then surrounded by sycophants and never be intellectually challenged. Maybe like B-HO, narcissism sets in and the growth is all but over...usually.

Penn is a high school grad , attended community college and studied auto mechanics.

He should have followed his original course.

A good auto mechanic is worth his weight in gold…..
he sold out ;-D

So, the man crush is mutual. How long before they start to exchange gifts of gladiator movie DVDs and nude male figurines?

Fine. I’m still going to comment about Michelle’s wardrobe and make snide remarks about John ‘Silky Pony’ Edwards though, LOL!
