Tax Cheats Are Abusive Narcissists!

You pay your income taxes, don't you? Well, take a look at all the golden darlings out in Hollywoodland who think they are so special that they are above the law when it comes to paying their taxes: http://www.webcpa.com/channels/celebrity_tax.html Members of this list may surprise you.

I will admit that paying all those maids and gardeners and pool boys, not to mention the pilots of their special jets and the maintenance and hangar fees, may be just too taxing. All these things are necessary, after all, because they advertise their Most Ridiculous Specialness. But refusing to pay legitimate income taxes takes you from the law abiding citizen group to stealing, conniving tax cheating criminals. And some have the unmitigated gall to demand, demand I tell you, $20 million per picture. Nobody. Nobody is that good. And now they're less than good because they don't pay income taxes.

But wait. That's not all.

The supposedly Baal-like golden boys and girls out on the left coast are bad enough but just wait until you hear how bad it is back at the ranch in the environs of our Washington, D.C.

According to an article at ABCNews, there are some 2.8 million federal civilian employees. Three percent of those employees didn't pay all the federal taxes they owed through 2008. If you include those employees who have retired and add in the military employees who are retired and didn't pay their taxes, then you have a very hefty unpaid tax bill of about $3 billion in taxes. http://abcnews.go.com/print?id=10125860 Good golly, that is just downright despicable!

Some side benefit of being a federal employee, huh?

Oh sure, IRS comes along and says naughty-naughty and puts a tax lien on their property and garnishes their wages at 15%. Big deal. Make them give up their posh stuff until it hurts their wounded little egos. And publish their names in local newspapers. That ought to fill them with enough shame to make them sit down with checkbook in hand.

Too much detail work, you say? Nonsense! They could give up their days of web surfing or playing games or watching ballgames or porn on their taxpayer-owned computers at "work" and do some real work for the taxpayers of this nation. You know, their bosses?!

And if the local newspapers wouldn't want to print the list of names, then get out the poster boards and start walking around the town squares with tax cheats' names printed on them.

Same goes for welfare cheats. And Medicare cheats.

It's about time that taxpayers demanded accountability from the people they elect, because it's those people who are hiring tax cheats who stay on their payroll. They need to know that they are not above the law, as they apparently think they are. They need to know that they are not entitled to all these little side perks that they decided to give themselves by way of their own ideas of entitlements. These abuses start to define narcissism.

And one of the silliest arguments in the article linked above is that you can't just fire the tax cheating employees. That would be denying them due process.

Well, here's a thought. Demand that the tax cheating employee come into the boss' office and produce proof of payment of taxes. If they didn't pay their taxes, then they could be considered deemed to have waived their due process. And make it part of their annual review to prove that they do not have any unpaid taxes.

There. Fixed it!

I work in the tax resolution industry. IRS wage garnishments are typically around 80% to 90% — not 15%. They are typically disruptive enough to completely derail a financial situation in a matter of months. The purpose of a garnishment is to inflict pain, not collect money, so as to motivate non-payers into coming to a repayment arrangement with the IRS.

People under garnishment aren’t just giving up “posh stuff” ... they’re typically bailing on rent or mortgages, gasoline, food, etc.

Our government is sick. We are in desparate need of a doctor. The IRS should not have the power to beat people to the ground as they do.

The IRS will get their cut one way or another. Many people in such situations are those that believe the law doesn’t apply to them ... so they just don’t file returns for a decade or so. When your debt gets to $25K or $50K, they’ll come down on you like a ton of bricks — and they won’t let up until they get every nickel they’re owed.

Good. Because in the aggregate, the scofflaws rack up billions of dollars in past due tax debt.

Joe Francis, chief executive of the company that produces the “Girls Gone Wild” series of racy videos, has sued the Internal Revenue Service

I don't know which side I want to win this one. Is there any way both sides can loose?

And then, Nicholas Cage says he’s going to pay the $14 million he owes.

Seems to me they should all hire better accountants. They make enough money to where they could hire the best that money could buy, don’t ya think?

And most of these “stars” are not employees, but rather contract workers. They get paid by the job, not as Studio Employees. Ever notice every film has its own production company, that is for the accountants.

You are not going to get these guys on a lien against the studios. You need to go after their personal property—and that is usually tied to some other corporation. These guys do not “own” anything.

The rich keep the money. My 16 year old daughter got chased for $300 in unreported income last year. Go figure.
